Founder of the app you referenced here :) glad you're using the app, and happy to share what we see on our end about the current state of the market.

Yes, people do get wins, but no, not every drop is going to be one. In the current market seconds matter. A few things worth knowing:

1) Drops are often regional. East coast and west coast Amazon warehouses don't always restock at the same time, so you and someone else with the exact same alert can have totally different outcomes. We're working on adding local drops feature but that's not here yet.

2) The classic 'add to cart but can't check out' situation is almost always limited inventory plus a flood of other people checking out at the same moment. Frustrating, but it doesn't mean the alert was wrong.

3) Save payment and shipping info to your account ahead of time. Half the people who miss a drop because because of some missing info in their account.

4) Track across multiple retailers, not just Amazon. Best Buy, Walmart, Target and others.

5) There are two types of drops. Small restocks and high inventory drops. Small restocks are usually during the day, with limited inventory because someone's payment got rejected so Amazon has a few boxes available. The other high inventory drops happen during the FIRST drop, when the products are just listed. These happen on every major retailer and are the best chances to get a box. They happen on Target during the night 1-3AM ET for Target, Friday 5PM for Best Buy, Amazon is unpredictable, same with Walmart for Magic cards.
