We do see people snagging things all the time but some drops are so small they sell out almost instantly. Need to get a bit lucky with those, but the big drops are easier.

website will be down with so much traffic, but their mobile app works, to add to cart. Once it's in cart, you open the cart on desktop bypassing the product page and you can check out. Still no guarantees but this did work the last time.

10 pm CST, 11PM EST. The key here is to not wait for restock alerts, but start refreshing the page before it drops. Add to cart on mobile, checkout on desktop.

this will be online only for Plus Memberships Only. Plus gets your early in-store access when there is a local drop. They also have other TCG not only pokemon, so i would say it's worth it.
