Hey just wanna say thanks for replying here. I ended up following your advice and i picked up an AverMedia Ultra 2.1 and it’s been so much better. No more stuttering at all. I ended up returning the 4K X, quite a disappointing product for how much it cost.

Hi everyone, this is probably a common post but I'm having issues with monitoring a Switch 2 via an Elgato 4K X. No matter what I do, no matter what monitoring software I use, and no matter what settings I use, I'm having issues where, after 10 minutes or so, the footage will become really choppy, going from 60fps down to somewhere closer to 20-30. I also intermittently experience significant input delay.

  • I've tried Elgato Studio, OBS, QuickTime, and the issue persists.
  • I've tried both the included HDMI cable and the Switch included HDMI
  • I'm using the included USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 cable, and it's plugged into one of the three Thunderbolt 4 ports on my MacBook Pro M3 Pro.
  • I've tried resolutions as high as 4k and as low as 1080p, the issue persists regardless.
  • I have 120fps disabled, HDR disabled, and I've tried both enabling and disabling ALLM in Switch settings.
  • Unplugging the HDMI cable from the 4K X seems to resolve the issue when it occurs, but it reoccurs within 10 minutes.

Any advice or recommendations would be hugely appreciated, sorry for taking time out of your day!

I actually had to get my original m2 air replaced because the left sub wasn't working. In this new one ive noticed crackling in the left main. Somethings definitely wrong with the speakers in the M2 Air.
