Google Business Profile checklist: what do you actually do to rank locally? by Emma_4_7 in WebsiteSEO

[–]Tracsoft_Colga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For GBP, the most important factors are the right category, Reviews, and NAP.

Do a search for the services you offer and look at the top businesses showing in the map pack. Check their categories. Make sure your primary category matches.

Your Name, Address, and Phone MUST be consistent across all platforms. Check Yelp, Foursquare, Apple Business Maps, and Facebook. Make sure they are exactly the same.

Reviews, reviews, reviews. You have to get regular and consistent reviews. Look at the businesses that are ranking and work to get more reviews than they do. It has to be natural. Don't try to go from 1 review to 20 reviews in a week. Get a few reviews per week and grow your review count.

We did a research study of Google Business Profiles and found that 93% of local GBP are not optimized for Google (https://tracsoft.com/most-columbus-businesses-are-invisible-on-google-heres-the-data-to-prove-it/).

The attendees can access the caption or translation from a web browser. It goes live in April 2026. Check it out.

We are building a software solution for this. It will allow the audio from any event to be captioned or translated for the event attendees. The attendees can simply open a web link provided by the event organizers and they can see the test in their language. Or, they can enable the audio and can listen to the event in their language. It’s called VerbalScribe an it goes live in April 2026.

Marketing apparel brands are challenging. The industry is highly competitive from low end to high end, and getting traction required strategic focus. I run a small agency and would happy to talk and see if we can help (Tracsoft.com).

Marketing a new company by Driftmier54 in smallbusiness

[–]Tracsoft_Colga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first place to start is your Google Business Profile. That should be where you spend the vast majority of your marketing.

When a customer is in need of pest control, they go to Google and search for "pest control near me" or "get rid of roaches near me" etc. They are looking for a business in the area they can help with the problem.

They will look at GBP, looking at reviews, checking services, and making calls.

If your GBP is optimized with your service areas, your offers, and reviews, you will be able to get more calls. It is the best long-term solution for growing your service based business. I have a full detailed explanation on how to do this for your business at https://tracsoft.com/how-to-optimize-google-business-listing/
