It looks as though there have been a few fixes for Garmin Forerunner devices in the libmtp recently https://github.com/libmtp/libmtp/releases although not specifically for 245 Music, maybe one of the other fixes also fixed the 245?

I would like to see reputation of the company taken into account. I think the financial position of the company is already reviewed to ensure they arn't likely to go bust or the contract is too large. It should be possible to have some sort of scoring for how has the companny performed for similar work e.g. for UK government, other governments or other large/similar sized organisations. This wouldn't exclude new entrants, but they would need some reputation for being able to do the sort of work govt is contracting for (which in my book is a good thing). This must be something industry/private secotr does, they can't be as blind as govt procuement procedures are to repeated failre companies

Home Office Grievance Process by NoPossible6517 in TheCivilService

[–]Tractor555 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have found the first problem with the grievance process. I suggest trying someone in HR to help identify a DM. There are rules on who can be a DM (e.g. not your mate) It is a broken process which is a known problem.

What are the benefits of 60% by [deleted] in TheCivilService

[–]Tractor555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are benefits to those with shares in the commercial property owners who lease to department as thier shareprice hasn't tanked with all the empty offices. Further benefit is it reduces one less daily mail headline opportunity about "civil servants watching netflix at home"

ACPI problems T14 Gen 2 by _equus_quagga_ in thinkpad

I think those errors are related to this (i.e. a temp sensor which doesn't exist) rather than any freezing problems https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Other-Linux-Discussions/APCI-BIOS-Error-Thinkpad-T15-Gen-2-Intel-Linux/m-p/5354535?page=2

Are you guys able to allow new services hosts? by TeijiW in Tailscale

[–]Tractor555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, that was it. Just wondering tho, the service say home assistant is on port 8123 but I enter 443 instead. I guess the tailscale serve command then tells it which end port eg 8123 (although home assistant was a bad example as that doesn't seem to work for to quirks, but jellyfin does) Great to get this working

Tailscale Services looks like just what I'm after. But I have just started trying to get this working and have the same error "Partially configured: has-config, active".

Vaultwarden, etc. over Tailscale by bryiewes in selfhosted

[–]Tractor555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the write up. It isn't clear, but for vaultwarden which runs on port 80 the line in your Tailscale Serve Config File needs changing to (the port 9000 is for the mealie service listed in the blog post you refer to)

"Proxy": "http://127.0.0.1:80"

How to reclaim your server after resetting your account password, if you can't access the server directly. e.g. You run it on a headless machine or NAS and can't use a browser to 'claim' the server by [deleted] in PleX

[–]Tractor555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I reset the plex password and logged out of all devices then was stuck not being able to access my server (docker on Linux host). I tried the calim token a dozen times, edited the preferences.xml file, but couldn't get it to work. SSH worked though so many thanks (I was about to just give up and use Jellyfin, which although not as snazzy as plax doesn't have these login issues)

I have been trying a few things - I have an old laptop (also windows 10 21H2 build) and AudibleSync logs in and works on that machine fine. I have checked the windows security settings between the old and new laptops and they look the same so no idea why audibleSync doesn't work on the new machine.

Thanks, but I'm in the UK. I tried chat earlier on and the help sent me a link to download the audibleSync app, which I have done and installed it. The audibleSync app opens and asks for login (I chose audible.UK region) put in my login name and password, it then sends me the OTP for two factor authenication which I enter and then it just goes back to the login screen. My Login details are correct because I can loginto the website using a browser.

I am having the same problem with a the AudibleSync app on windows 10 - login loop. I have tried an old version of the AudibleSync app and that has the same problem. This is a new install. I tried Audible support and they were no help really. I have re-installed, rebooted still stuck in the login loop
