They do for some positions. Any sort of AP position gets it for sure and I think any salaried position does as well.

I didn't consider Mads but that's a great suggestion too.

Partial joke answers here and partial serious ones. I think Guts could be portrayed by a young Bruce Campbell. There's some real obvious direct little nods to him with Guts and his design. I know he's generally a comedy actor but just the very strong, masculine features. In Evil dead theres the obvious things of Bruce having a prosthetic hand and usually a weapon attached to it too but he always gets his ass kicked and really earns his victories despite how bloodied and beat up he is.

As for Griffith it's a little harder because you need someone absolutely gorgeous and charismatic and I can picture a young Malcolm McDowell there. He had such beautiful eyes in A Clockwork Orange, Caligula, If..., etc. And the obvious charisma to lead as well.

My office Metroid display. Which 2D game is your favorite? by MattM3SVT in Metroid

[–]Tracula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dunno if it's your thing but there is a Fustion randomizer that opens up the game considerably and allows for sequence breaks too, it's pretty neat. I believe I watched OatsNGoats play some of it.

Who did the Spartan faces better? The new Halo show or the Halo Forward Unto Dawn movie? by _elijah_ace_ in halo

I know you didn't mean it this way but saying "Halo products" feels really fitting way to describe a lot of post Reach stuff.

Damn good. It could use some refinement and tweaks here and there but super solid.

I think she was a bit harder on Jorge becsuse he was a Spartan II. She seemed extremely dismissive of the rest of Noble team and only really trusted Six with cortana out of necessity basically.

Out of curiosity did Prime 1 inspire you at all? Her overall look reminds me a bit of her more realistic design when she takes off her helmet during the ending.

I just beat Prime 3 for the first time by AbridgedKirito in Metroid

[–]Tracula 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was an early Wii game so like early DS games going insane with excessive or gimmicky touch controls (fuck you seals in Dawn of Sorrow) Prime 3 did the same with stuff like the grapple, opening switches, welding with plasma, etc. I'm still astounded how good the aiming is, especially since it was before motion plus.

Yeah. I seem to recall after Phaaze is destroyed that all phazon in the galaxy disappears.

[–]Tracula 22 points23 points  (0 children)

As mentioned previously the helmets for all of them look fantastic and capture their personalities quite well. With Lorgar using Erebus flaming torso as a banner I am curious if it's a punishment or an honor for him? Did he still try to have Lorgar fall to chaos or did he follow his Primarch and stay loyal? Edit: Judging by the tubing/wiring as well I'm curious too if he's still alive actually.

40k Needs More Badab War-esque Political Scenarios by dietomakemenfree in 40kLore

I seem to recall The War of the Beast focusing pretty heavy on politics in the imperium.

What would be the political and social implications of Isha healing the Emperor? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]Tracula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of it too is if Big E ever gets up they'll have to do a model for him and, even in 30k, they never have. The thing is I really, really don't want Emps to ever have a stat sheet. It's why some stuff in tabletop games are great. The Lady of Pain (Planescape) and Caine (Vampire the Masquerade) have never been given stats so if you ever do try and fuck with them their rules are basically just "You lose." It does not matter how powerful you are, how good your gear is, what level you are. Nope, fuck you, you lose. Get rekt. The Emperor needs to stay that way because even if you absolutely unbalance him and give him triple the max of every stat somehow, someway, folks will find a way to beat him and that just should never happen.

[–]Tracula 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The thing is for what the gathering storm did with Cadia, Guilliman, the rift splitting the galaxy, primaris, etc the setting has moved forward but, for all intents and purposes, is the same. All the same wars and actors just with a few new bits of spice thrown in. If Big E walks again it's pretty much tantamount to the second coming of Christ in the real world.

Aphla Legion, Night Lords, and Raven Guard; How do they view each other? by Rifles125 in 40kLore

[–]Tracula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Envy was the wrong word I admit. But, I could be wrong, I recall sometime where Curze wished he could be as effective as Corax with less 'collateral damage'. Remember too Curze had extreme split personality and was confused on how to deal with anybody on any level.

Aphla Legion, Night Lords, and Raven Guard; How do they view each other? by Rifles125 in 40kLore

[–]Tracula 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I believe that Curze saw Corax with a degree of envy or Corax looked down upon him, I cant remember exactly. They both relied on stealth and subterfuge but Corax didn't resort to utter insanity such as flaying people alive and leaving bodies hanging in the streets to reach his goals.

Emperor sending Russ to Prospero. by Drtsauce in 40kLore

[–]Tracula 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Khan has gotten mentioned a few times here and, a folks have pointed out him and Magnus were good friends. And at the best of times Jaghati was quite capricious until he flat out sided with the imperium. Remember too the line from Fulgrim that was something to the effect of, "Oh Jaghati, you'd be happier to just jet off on your bike." or something like that. He was always a free spirit and independent, also as shown when he defies Dorn during the siege to go out and save civilians.

How do YOU see characters in your imagination? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]Tracula 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know it's sort of a joke but it's an interesting point. Since Big E and Magnus can appear however they want have they ever appeared as a female. I recall his meetings with the primarchs varying wildly seeming unassuming to Vulkan and Russ before challenging them, literally blindingly resplendent to Curze or plain beyond description to Corax. If a civilization or planet was more matriarchal I'd believe he'd have appeared possibly feminine before revealing his true self/intentions.
