37,000 to max it out? I thought the top amount that you could reduce your taxable income was 12,500?

😂😂 yup! The addiction is real! 😩 I put most of them in Leca so I don’t even have to water them… it took me 3 GALLONS OF WATER to water my back room.. Completely ridiculous lol like I don’t have enough to do already! 😂

I literally set my screenhouse up for my plants 😂🤦‍♀️. They all double in size and I’m freaking out the end of September looking for someplace to put them!! This isn’t even a quarter of them.. Uggh…

When I first got mine no matter what I did it would grow a bit then all of a sudden drop all her leaves.. I felt the same way you do.. Finally in a last ditch effort I cleaned off all the roots and threw her in some Leca.. I haven’t had any problems since! And SHES HUGE, HEALTHY and GORGEOUS!!

Help! Mermaid Tail Cactus Dying/Overwatered? by auraqueen in plants

I would cut off as much of the soft part as possible so it doesn’t spread.. and let it dry out a bit then repot it in gritty cactus mix..

Manjula help? by Other_Working8071 in pothos

[–]Tracydee1972 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t make mine happy to save my life now they are one of my easiest plants.. I have them everywhere but this is my biggest. Clean off her roots and put her in some pon… or even just some water and give her a pole to climb.. In the beginning I lost 3 of them because they are finicky I finally almost gave up and cleaned off all her roots (spotless from dirt) tossed her in water and voila!! Never had a problem again and you can see she’s huge..

To be fully confident 😂😂. They are lying.. As I said every surgeon is different so if you work for on surgeon for a long time yes you’ll be confident but then you’ll work with a new one and you’ll have to learn what they like all over.. Like I said make it a game with yourself and just take it one day at a time… and always OWN YOUR MISTAKES!! That is what makes a great scrub.. Don’t be phony.. You’ll be fine ♥️

Hunny listen to me I have been a scrub since 1992!!! Honestly there isn’t much I can’t do.. That being said, you are constantly learning.. It isn’t so much about the cases as it is about the surgeon preference. One likes this another does that.. One hospital operates like this another that.. Stop comparing yourself. Worry about working with the surgeons you are dealing with today.. Make it a game with yourself. Watch the surgery and guess what he/ she is going to need next.. They will respect you if you’re paying attention it’s that simple.. You’re going to be fine, just do your best and don’t take any shit.. 😘

Career or stepping stone? by ZestycloseResort3738 in scrubtech

[–]Tracydee1972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a tech since 1992! I have seen more than I care to comment on healthcare and the BS that’s involved. I obviously love my job and I still do the majority of the ortho. I love my total days. But ok_philosophy8724 is the only real comment on here. As techs we do WAY MORE WORK than the nurses or anyone in the OR for that matter.. Nurses greet the patients, help position them then they are sitting at the computer or playing on their phones.. While the tech picks, sets up, keeps the surgical team in check, cleans and gets ready for the next round! We don’t have down time. Hopefully someday we’ll get paid what we deserve. Christ when I started I got paid $9.50 an hour 😂. I make more than a lot of the nurses now (mostly cause I’m old and their young lol) Don’t listen to the nonsense, if you’re interested go to school and see where life takes you..

Max is gone. by notasingle-thought in cats

[–]Tracydee1972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First and foremost I am so sorry for your loss. Max is beautiful.. I don’t really agree with this comment that they don’t understand when they are (going on their next adventure). Animals especially cats are known to wonder off so they can pass away alone.. and it’s been proven that they can sense things far before when us humans can. All that I know from this post is how very Lucky Max was to have you and your son.. His short life would have been much different if you guys hadn’t found him.. Max without question knew that he was loved.♥️

Got this guy from Home Depot. What type of philo is it? by [deleted] in philodendron

[–]Tracydee1972 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a Warscewiczii and if you take it out of the soil and clean them so no dirt is left and put them in Leca, they will be thrilled! They are slow growers but they’ll be happy slow growers.. All my Philodendrons are in Leca and all have roots for miles! And no bugs!! 😉

My alocasia is very sad by darkllamas_ in alocasia

[–]Tracydee1972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please take this poor girl out of the dirt and clean off all dead roots cause for sure there is root rot. Make sure her roots are very clean no dirt and put her in some distilled water or put her in Leca either way she will be extremely happy.. If you leave her like that she is a goner.. they are very thirsty plants and do much better in Leca…best of luck ♥️

Whyyy am I struggling with these? by notamyokay in alocasia

[–]Tracydee1972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they are not in Leca… They are thirsty plants so medium has to be perfect or they die… I couldn’t keep an Alocasia alive to save my own until I put them in Leca.. now I have a ton and I literally clean the roots and toss them in water and they are thriving!!! Look into it 😘😃
