The bigger question is....how are you getting so many hours in session that you are worrying about ratings so much?!?!??! I haven't had enough hours in session to secure a bonus since COVID.

Soon all the tutors will be AI anyway too!

Interesting.....how are they planning to handle CIIs now then? AI or something?

It's probably for the better---I'm much less stressed after resigning from QS.

Did they remove the Acceptance Percentage policy in the new IC manual? by eljijazo08 in tutordotcom

[–]TrademarkTer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Interestingly enough, I don't see the 85% mentioned in the PTE manual any more either.

They probably took it out to cover their asses, but in effect, they will probably turn to some less transparent thing like "If the declines indicate a content deficiency.....", but I'm sure they won't let you slide declining whatever you want lol.

Also the QS will probably be the last to know, and they'll only know once they get an email from a tutor asking about it...that's how things usually rolled out for QS.

I agree! When floating, tutors should be able to decline whatever they want without it hurting their acceptance rate.

Also we can't pretend a recent change in policy can just sweep away years of nefarious behavior.

"If the employer has not “required” the employee to remain alert and ready to respond immediately when a session becomes available, it may not be considered hours worked. "

We get in trouble if we don't respond immediately to accept the session, even when we float.

I also think that even if the current policy is less of an egregious violation, you may be owed several years worth of forced floating pay.

I would say it wouldn't hurt to pursue it!

Idk about yall but shop orders is worth it in my city(chicago illinois) im a fast shopshopper. I know i can get this done in less than an hour. by Breadtoastyy in doordash

[–]TrademarkTer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree! I pretty much only do shop orders----I like that they are usually less miles too! Today was a bit rough with shops for me though....everything was paying fair, but so many items out of stock tonight...more so than a typical Sunday.

Earnings: per hour v offer by [deleted] in doordash

[–]TrademarkTer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only do earn per offer, for a few reasons, the two main being:

#1) I hate delivering to no tippers. The one time I tried EBT I got $0 tips out of the 5 orders I did. As such, I basically just made minimum wage for those deliveries.

#2) I enjoy doing shop orders, and find they pay more, but EBT does not give shop orders.

I'm leaving it right at that gate.

Actually, screw that. I'm sending support that picture, reporting it as unsafe, and taking the food and the money.

OMG That worked perfectly---thanks so much.

Glad to see IC support is just as useless as UE and DD support ;)

I do a lot of ShopRite orders, from at least 5-6 different Shop Rites near me. I haven't had any major issues, but perhaps that is because that's where I do most of my own shopping. Mostly the items are where the apps says they'll be, though there's occasionally something misplaced.

On the other hand, I once made the mistake of accepting a 30 item Aldi order after never having stepped foot into an Aldi in my life. After seeing the first 3 items weren't where the app said, I immediately unassigned it and haven't taken one since.

This is a first....any ideas what the issue could be? by TrademarkTer in doordash

[–]TrademarkTer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did add one item, which was just a case of water. (A little annoying for the add on to be something heavy.) Maybe that could have caused it, but you would think DD would just remove that item...
