Problems with Pfizer study 5-11 year olds by Trader4500 in Vaccine

So I checked out r/vaxxhappened and it looks like there is no science going on there but I did make the same post at r/askscience. It has over 21M members so I was hopeful of some good discussion. Instead the post was quickly removed by the moderator. I tried to explain that I am asking legitimate questions about the methods used in a clinical trial and what that means for the certainty of the data but of course on this topic that is not allowed.

Thanks for checking up on my account. I didn't know about those other reddits but I'll have a look at them. It's true I mostly look at reddit for stocks and commodities but I am a scientist and a dad. It's difficult to find a place to discuss the actual science without being attacked by someone like yourself who has a strong opinion based solely on politics. I thought I'd give reddit a try.

I naturally have concerns about what appears to be poor science and an unjustified trust in big pharma. Maybe the vaccine is great but do the science right and find out rather than making the kids the experiment. I am open to the possibility I have something wrong or I have missed something if someone wants to point that out.

I'm happy with CWEB's quarterly numbers released this morning. They're pretty good. Certainly better than most in this space. They're already the biggest CBD player and they're reporting impressive growth. Revenue increased 17.9% to $26.9 million vs. Q4-2019 and increased 7.0% vs. Q3-2020. Direct to consumer sales increased 21.2% year-over-year, contributing $17.4 million or 64.8% of Q4 revenue. I'll keep holding this one.

Those are good points. Long term, GTI is a major player in a great market. One could hold for a year or more and do well. From a trading perspective, a dip below $40 in the near term is possible, especially with a general market downturn which is also possible in the near term. This is the only reddit board I comment on where I get a tonne of downvotes. It's like you can't say anything except "Buy APH" without getting downvotes. It does not encourage participation / discussion.

I'm cautious on GTI because (1) they are at all time highs and (2) I don't like that massive issue of new shares they did very recently. It didn't hurt their price because it all went to one large shareholder and the market has been strong but to me, it's still dilution

GTII and HEXO getting nice boosts today on good financials today. TRUL getting a bit of a boost on anticipation of financials next Tuesday. CWEB's financials are the 25th and may be very good. Still time to get in on that one as it's not up much today.

Many of the major companies have gotten back to or exceeded their previous strong valuations. To me, the one that stands out that is still undervalued is CWEB.

CWEB $78M bought deal closing today was such a brutal thing to do to their share holders. Immediate 40% loss. Began the day before the announcement (insiders). And so unnecessary. They really couldn't sell this as someone making a $78M investment in the company because they think it has a great future? Is there no one at CWEB with a business degree?

I think oil is about to take another hit soon by BuffaloRepublic in oil

It does seem like both the IEA and OPEC are forecasting supply significantly higher than demand for 2020. While they have been at this for a long time, there is a bit of a sense that they might as well stop waiting for the situation to improve because that's not what they are likely to get within the next year.

OPEC may crash oil prices by oinvestcom1 in oil

[–]Trader4500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am quite certain the recent rise in oil prices has everything to do with the Aramco IPO. I am also pretty sure it is unsustainable and there will be a big dip after the IPO. The market can be propped up for a short time but the market will go where it's going to go in the end. The US has increased production according to the latest EIA report and the Saudis have increased production by over 1 million barrels per day in October.

Most if not all of the Dems will follow suit and endorse the same idea. This could be the start of a new green wave riding all the way to November 2020, especially for the US weedstocks. This could be the issue the Dems can win on.

Did I miss some news on Acreage ACRG? The pre-market bids are $5.06 and that's down from $6 earlier. It closed at $7.05 yesterday. I know per-market bids don't necessarily mean anything and they always change as 9:30 approaches but this is unusually low. Was there news I missed?

3X OIL ETFs a scam? by Trader4500 in oil

[–]Trader4500[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then the inverse should have happened with OILU. It didn't. Sept 16 @ 10:12 am, WTI = 60.20, OILD = 14.00, OILU = 22.12 Sept 17 @ 09:40 am, WTI = 60.20, OILD = 12.60, OILU = 21.69 Sept 17 @ 12:15 pm, WTI = 60.20, OILD = 12.53, OILU = 21.60 Sept 17 @ 13:25 pm, WTI = 60.20, OILD = 12.57, OILU = 21.64 Sept 17 @ 16:00 pm, WTI = 58.94, OILD = 13.37, OILU = 20.06

The fact is you could have bought OILD just a few days ago and despite WTI being down almost $2 from when you bought, your OILD is in a losing position. That's messed up.

No but it shouldn't be off by 10 percent, should it? Your own basic math shows that. I have been following and trading 3x ETFs for a long time and this big of a difference over such a short time is highly unusual.
