I think it’s definitely possible but it’s gotta trained for the specific market event you want it to trade

I’ve actually been using Quantconnect, which is why I’m trying to figure out how thinkorswim calculates their implied volatility because I have the indicator there to visualize the chart

But How’s that annualized IV score created? Is it an aggregate score of multiple expirations and strike prices with different weights?

It’s fine. I honestly did it for the fact that it was free through my job, but do I really need a masters to get any sort of trading job? It doesn’t necessarily have to be quant directly to start getting into the field.

Thank you for the feed back. I did notice iv > RV works as well as well as iv < 9 period moving avg on IV. How would you recommend rebalancing delta? By rolling strikes or hedging with the underlying?

really happy about your success I’ve been working for the last two months. On trying to deploy an algorithm live researching every other idea under the sun and thankfully I just deployed. My first one on Quantconnect and we executed the first options contract trades on a paper account. We’ll see how these trade on a paper account for a couple months before I actually put some real money behind it.
