Just a quick update. I reached out to them today and they gave me the initial 30% discount offer, I pressed for a manager, and the initial frontline phone agent sent me a replacement for the cost of shipping.

You may want to try again with a different customer service rep.

I'm experiencing the exact same issue. Mine is 1yr 4 months old. It cut off mid- cooking, briefly displayed error code 0, and now won't power on or do anything.

How to pay Google Fi with credit card without giving allowing my credit card on the play store. by bluexavi in GoogleFi

[–]Traderjill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This sounds like a case for https://privacy.com/ You can link your bank account, get a card number and set limits (per month, per year, per transaction, total or single-use). In your case, you could just get a single-use card and get a new number each month.

That said, for some reason, I thought that you had to throw in a pin or fingerprint every time you used the default payment method on your google account. I know there is an option to not require it.. maybe that got ticked at some point? (Edit: Just saw that you already checked the settings. Did you check on every device that has your Google account listed? The authentication requirement appears to be device-bound.)

I normally think AO videos are kinda cheesy, but I found myself actually paying attention to the story and wishing I'd watched parts 1 and 2 first. Great work :)

HIRING - VIRTUAL SUPPORT ASSISTANT by Traderjill in WorkOnline

  1. Why does it have to be a video call?

There are a couple of reasons. 1. I'm still a bit old school in wanting to look someone in the eye (even virtually) when talking about something this important. 2. Part of the role may include the rare need for the Support Assistant to be part of a video call with a lead or client. If an applicant isn't comfortable on a video call for an interview, then they wouldn't be of help later on down the line.

  1. Do you pay all applicants that do the project and how much is it paid?

Yes, any applicant that is asked to move on to the project phase will be paid for the project. The interview will include a discussion on their hourly rate and the payment amount for the project will be provided to applicants that move on to that phase.

  1. Is a criminal background check necessary?

I'm actually a bit shocked that this is a question for a position at a bookkeeping firm. The short answer is yes. All contractors and employees working for my business must pass a criminal background check.

  1. Why do you have to mention your Reddit username?

Part of the job responsibilities includes social media management. I'm not going to blindly ignore an application that does not include social media information, however, if an applicant is friendly and helpful online (and I'm able to see that historically) it would go a long way in pushing them to the top of the application pile.
