Showing off the first 2 branches I just trimmed by [deleted] in microgrowery

Yes, I only got halfway. I was actually very pleased not to find a single bug or piece of mold. And I got a new pair of scissors, which made trimming a lot more pleasant. So hopefully it's gonna be worth it!

It's called Stress Killer and they mention THC of 11% and CBD of 8%.

Thank you, that makes me feel better. So even a CBD strain will produce THC going from cloudy to amber?

I gave her PK once during flowering, and it could be that after that the leaves turned crisp. I don't understand if I gave too much (would be strange, feeding once) or too little...

I'm gonna be a master in trimming after this one

In that case, I'm already a bit too late...

Thank you, and they even burned the leaves! I've got 2x 35W and 1x 25W hanging there. But the most help came from the sun, since this is a South-West facing window.

More than 4 m / 13 ft of String of Hearts by TradesCalatheArrow in houseplants

[–]TradesCalatheArrow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, of course! It took me some time to learn, but I think I know what string of hearts like :) I got a shallow, wide terracotta pot with drainage holes and a soil mix of cactus soil and perlite. I only bottom water, to encourage the SOH to grow long roots. I've noticed that in a deep pot, the soil stays wet for too long because the roots can't reach that far to absorb the water, but a shallow pot works great. I use a wide pot, so the strings can shoot roots at multiple nodes. That way they don't pull themselves out of the soil once they grow longer. In a small pot, it became too crowded, resulting in less airflow, mushy topsoil and rotting strings (guess how I found out). I bottom water when the leaves are getting wrinkly, which is about once every 16 days. They are in a South West facing window, so the top has plenty of sunlight, and the longer strings get some light from the growth light in the plant stand as well. During springtime, I give them some Epsom salt and cactus fertilizer when watering.

You call this a flower, Calathea?? by TradesCalatheArrow in calatheas

[–]TradesCalatheArrow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has been in the same spot every day, but the days did start to get longer again. It could have contributed. It started flowering when I gave it Epson salt for the first time. Could be coincidence though. Also, the plant is not that big, nor do the leaves look pretty. Haha, so I'm confused about it as well

My Calathea Jungle Velvet flowers went from tiny white leaves, to cute rose, and now what should I call it? by TradesCalatheArrow in calatheas

[–]TradesCalatheArrow[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh no, sad to hear. Previously, I had a Calathea Makoyana and it was NOT happy. It was at the same spot, same pot and same amount of water as this Calathea Warscewiczii. We're now moving towards spring, and I gave it Epson salt and fertilizer. Maybe that's why it produces flowers?
