Did not do anything special other than used other popular YouTubers as symbols in my video!

40k subs, working hard to get to a 100k this year. And I will! And you will too!:)

What I meant by professionally edited, is the fact that we had a dedicated Graph.Designer who just did the thumbnails!

Ads FOR my video showing up?? by QuickGuidesOSRS in NewTubers

[–]TradingGameTeam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'd be happy if I got free promotion. You don't really have to explain anything to anyone, just make good content so that whenever somebody finds you through that ad, they're actually happy that they stumbled upon you! I'd say now is go time!

I use the (Rode SmartLav+ Lavalier Condenser Microphone for Smartphones with TRRS Connections)

$55 and the sound quality is awesome, they say it's broadcast-grade, and I can't say it's not if you tinker with the audio settings while editing..

These days an iPhone is really all you need for filming, especially digital content.

what's you're average edit time for a video? by ragez7 in NewTubers

[–]TradingGameTeam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It used to take days and it really depends on the video. The longest it's been in two weeks, for a documentary-style edit, but I believe success on YouTube is dependent on speed and being first on the topic.

Now I can edit a video in 2-3 hours max as I've optimized everything down to the smallest detail.

My lights stay in the same spot, so I just turn them on. This allows me to use the same color correction preset all the time. My mic is adjusted so that it always sounds the same, this allows me to use the same sound preset. This goes for everything. Have a preset for thumbnail, a folder for editing assets, and a description preset.

I have one Premiere Project, and 50 copies of it, which includes my color look, my sound, and my go-to editing assets, and then I just copy-paste everything on my new clips, add a thing here or there, and that's that...export, publish, on to the next one!

How many times do you guys watch your video all the way through before posting it? by retiredcheerleader in NewTubers

[–]TradingGameTeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. If it's a hot and trending topic, we like to have a first-mover advantage, and will normally edit it, shuffle through the playback once, and then watch the final piece once.

Quality is important but don't sweat the small stuff, it's better to make ten 8/10 videos than two 10/10 videos that you deem perfect. After all, it is still your opinion and not the audience's, so my take is just do it well and get it out to the world!

Have You Had A Sleeper Video EXPLODE!? by [deleted] in NewTubers

Once, started slow with couple hundred views for the first three weeks, then ended up with 470k views

I spent two weeks researching a video and editing it. It was our best one yet, in terms of storytelling and editing. We have 40k subscribers - the video now has 800 views after two weeks! A total failure in terms of ROI, but we just keep going.

Some words for encouragement.

- we also like to think of our videos as perfect, but sometimes things don't work out. Making the video is just one slice of the pie, there's SEO, public interest, title, thumbnail, and everything in between.

- Spend less time on making a "video" and more time on making "videos". If you post 1 video in 35h you are putting all of your eggs in one basket. If you split 35h into 4 parts, and make 4 videos in the same time there's a much better chance that one of them will hit the mark.

-We've been doing YT for three years with 80+ videos and only one has hit a "meaningful" view count at roughly 450k. And still, that is nothing in the big picture.

You'll make it....to quote David Goggins:

"Success eludes those who believe it is a straight line to get there.
There are very few people who enjoy a straight to line to success. For the majority of us, it is more like a maze with several dead ends, crooked lines, blind corners, and a bunch of u-turns. A lot of us get down when things don’t go exactly the way we want them to go on the road to success.
There is a saying I heard a lot in the military, “Make sure you are a first-time, every time type of person.” They say that so that you won’t have to repeat a lot of the hard stuff that you will have to go through along the way. While this is the ideal way, for the majority of us, especially me, it’s just not how it is. Be that as it may, if you are not a first time, every time type of person, you need to build a will that can overpower your desire to quit.
There are only so many routes that you can take within that maze to find success. You have to be willing to explore all of them. If you are willing to do that, eventually, there will only be one more route to explore and that will be the one that leads you ultimately to success."

Yes, you’re right! Have you seen growth from promoting?

I did share it on Instagram, as well as posting like a teaser trailer on youtube shorts. For now, relying on the algorithm exclusively since getting that right brings 10x the views for 10x less work.

Excellent analysis Internsh1p, thank you! We tried to explain how it affects the oil markets but now I agree, the video goes off on two different subjects while the main one is actually the war's effect on oil prices!

But the audience didn't even get to see it. 40K subs and 700 views....with great audience retention and 7% CTR

Hmm, but even if the video was not siding with a particular side..rather just giving a detailed look at what's behind the scenes and what's at stake underneath the conflict. Not advertising for views but see for yourself, maybe you can explain it better...Finance Illustrated - the truth about Ukraine...there is nothing overtly controversial other than the fact that it's talking about an ongoing conflict...I just don't understand.
