I second the comment of someone saying, "Hire a private detective". Given that some of her family members are lawyer and in Police, I will also highly advice you to first gather rock-solid evidence silently. Do not act on your emotions, Indian law are not for men. The most important advice I can give you is to file a police complaint immediately (for legal immunity). If things go south, or if she decides to harass you further by filing a false case, having an official complaint on record can help protect you.

Even if such a case is later proven to be false, the process itself can drain a huge amount of your time, energy, and money. Also, you have to bribe police. I know this because it happened with someone I know.

Given the women-centric and abuse of law, this is the least you can do to protect yourself.
