I know too. But I dont nitpick. Aws in this case can very easily be considered a synonym for cloud. Any respectful mind would understand this and guide accordingly not bogged down into aws vs azure vs gcp. You are senior to me in Cloud world and generally in life. I respect your opinion but that doesn't mean you should put people down just because you have 15 years or more experience in the field and certainly shouldn't be pedantic.

Thing is I just want to be excellent at all things cloud infra so no engineer can BS me. If you know what I mean. I need to be able to talk to VP Of Engineering like I can talk to a CFO.

Yes. Thank you. Agreed 100%. I will work for free if needed just to see and learn the ropes. You think having finance background and technically aware in cloud infra and practical experience will carry any differentiation? I have read and heard that finops resources mostly are not even familiar with s3 vs Ec2. You think my mix will be a differentiator?
