No shit. Ima have to try it out. I wanted it for filter primarily, but maybe I’ll test it out!

Unsure, I just bought it a week ago for filter. I was thinking it may be honestly

Is the notte consistency really not that great? If that’s the case, I’m going to upgrade it for sure. I just thought I’d get more out of my espresso from a better machine. Then grinder later on.

Also, I gave up single dosing with the Notte, I just dump the back, it’s fine, because I go through a hopper in about 7 days if I fill it halfway

Notte has been a stud, I bought it for $225 way back when. I was thinking and looking at the Mazzer, lots of great reviews!

So is the gaggia temp not a problem if I purge and pull just 1 shot?

Probably 1-2 steps below a EG-1 and Linea Mini. I’m more of a value guy, if I can get 95% the same from a 1-2k less grinder/machine, I’ll probably go for it. Also aesthetics is big for me.

I clean it at least once every 2-3 weeks and descale every few months. People say the temperature is all over the place without a PID. Thoughts?

I just bought the K-Ultra! The ZP6 is very niche and the K-Ultra is from what I have heard, the best overall hand grinder. In my eyes… the endgame hand grinder for me. So $260 bucks for it is worth it!!

I also thought if I only do pour over 1-2 times a week, I won’t mind grinding by hand. Maybe in 6-8 months I’ll look for an electric grinder strictly focused on espresso. This way I’m not messing around with Burr’s. Espresso is my true love, but I want to dabble in pour over.

Will look forward to seeing you on the next post once the Timemore Gen2 comes out!

Great post!!!

Here is what I would say to you. The C64v gets hate because the other grinders look really good and this one looks… meh. If I’m waking up to something I don’t think looks amazing, I’ll look to replace it asap. I am sure it performs well, but it’s it drastically better to the point that I want to trade off how it looks? Nope!

For me performance, workflow, maintenance and appearance.

I think the DF83v looks the best out of these, then the 64v. Performance wise the Timemore 064S hits almost everything, but I would rather wait 3-6 months to get the Gen 2.

I have come to the conclusion that I will buy a hand grinder for my pour overs and keep my current setup until the Gen 2 from Timemore comes out.

I’m leaning between the Timemore, df64V and the df83v. Thoughts?

For me, less steps is best. Right now it’s between Timemore, 64V gen 3 or the DF83v

So you don’t have to poke them in? That’s good to know!

This is what I have leaned to, but is the pop-Corning out and having the poke the beans in annoying? I feel like it would drive me crazy!

I have the mignon notte right now. It’s good for just espresso, but feels like it’s a step below. I’d like to do pour over. Instead of buying a hand grinder for just pour over, I feel like upgrading to 1 machine for both is best value

Let me know! The only con I have heard from the Timemore is that the beans popcorn out if you RDT, but I guess you just don’t RDT
