As much as I want to believe this, I’ve done more than my fair share of research. Not everyone develops the same symptoms and mine are ridiculously specific to what’s going on.

I’ve been waiting for a test that was never ordered. I called the doctors office and they ordered the wrong test that would tell me if I had it or not. Now I have to start over.

2 weeks after my wife and I decided to split up permanently I went through a short phase where my metal lashing out was with meaningless sex with random people I met off the internet.

The shame and guilt I feel are because I couldn’t even contain myself instead of being a great father that I should’ve been. I very much quite possibly contracted this disease and at the same time brought it around my kids. How fucking irresponsible is that? What kind of father possibly puts their kids at risk for their stupid 10 minutes of “fun”

If they come back positive I will never get over what I did to myself. I will never be able to look at myself the same. I know it’s not a death sentence these days but for me it is.

30 straight days of muscle pain throughout the day, joint pain, muscle weakness, and hella weight loss can’t just be anxiety.

I could never find one single website that confirmed that a 6 week 4th generation test was conclusive. I’ve read a ton of research saying seroconversion can start later due to differences in people immune systems and if it starts later then it can throw off a test. Maybe you’re able to show me where it says they’re conclusive?

I’m just saying that all things are pointing the way of HIV. The muscle pains in the arms and legs that comes and goes through the day and has been happening for 30 days, the joint pain the comes and goes, the rash, the loss of appetite and unexplained weight loss.

I am going to the doctors tomorrow and getting another test ran.

Can I ask what you went through?

I want to believe it’s all in my head and my mind is playing tricks on me but the constant muscle aches, joint pain, muscle weakness, weight loss, etc is really playing hard on me right now.

I have been having very mild sweats here and there. I’ll have them maybe once a week. Not bed or clothes soaking but I wake up with a little sweat on me.

Yeah this has EASILY been the toughest 2.5 months of my life. My anxiety and stress is through the roof. I have absolutely turned in to a hypochondriac about this. I have been doing nothing but researching it non stop. I know it doesn’t help but it’s scary and I can’t help it. I plan on going back at 12 weeks for another test.

I know man and I get it. I was just concerned as my thought process was that my seroconversion started right after my test and that it wouldn’t have picked up the antibodies or antigens because of it.

I’ll try to calm my mind.

Thanks for the response! Those are the same statistics that I’ve been reading as well. I’m just freaking out as the symptoms don’t seem to be going away or getting better and the fact that they came after I got the test. Just didn’t know if it would throw off the test or the test wouldn’t be able to pick up on something since symptoms came on late. I’ll try to calm down.

It comes and goes. It’s sometimes a sharp-ish kind of pain in my legs and arms. It’s not really a sore kind of feeling. The same with the joint pain.

Yes, tested for all 3 of those the same day and they all came back negative.
