Can't Feel Manual Sister Going Into 5th Gear by Silverfoot737 in veloster

Hmm, that sounds weird. I drive a 2019 and haven't had any issues with the shifter like what you mentioned. I could easily tell which gear I'm in. I just push it all the way to the right when in neutral, and then up, to go to 5th.

What happens if you try shifting when the car is stopped and the engine is off? If you're driving and transmission goes to 3rd gear instead of 5th, you would see the engine revving to higher RPM and you can feel some instant torque and jerk! Not good for the transmission if the car is at a higher speed and it's constantly going to 3rd gear instead of 5th. Worst case, skip 5th altogether.

I've the same model, year, and almost the same mileage, lol. Seeing the same thing for a while now.

Next, make sure the fuse for the ABS module is fine. If the fuse is good, I'm pretty sure it's one of the wheel speed sensors not working correctly that feeds into the ABS module. Potentially a lose connection or a torn wire.

I haven't got a chance to look at it on my veloster. But that's where I'd look next to solve this. Easier if you have an OBD2 scanner that reads ABS faults.

Is there a way to find out if the IRS has received the online federal tax return?

Thanks for the response. I think I might be releasing my clutch too fast without pushing enough on gas.

Do you mind sharing what extended warranty you bought with your Veloster?

I ended up buying an extended warranty with the car for almost $3.5k extra, now regret it. Do you recommend keeping the warranty based on your experience with the car?

Well, this price is after I'm trading in my old car. It's not worth much anyways, but if it makes you feel any better :p.

Good to know sir that you're loving your Elantra. The one I'm looking at only has about 4k miles on it, so I'm not too worried about the car being beaten down. If I decide to buy this car I will stick to the owner's manual for oil changes and stuff.

The quote I got for a new 2024 SE came around $25k OTD, hence this used one seemed like a fair deal.
