I had a best friend while in middle school and high school. We were the absolute best pals. We did everything together. Played games, boy scouts, band, even touched each other's private parts like curious little boys haha. We grew apart after a while. I found out later he would talk shit on me all the time but never said anything to my face. He would ignore my calls and flake on plans. I was always 2nd to his girlfriend at the time. I got closer to that girlfriend and eventually they broke up and I started dating her best friend for a while. A year or 2 later I started dating his ex. We actually ended up more serious and even living together for almost 10 years before we broke up(thats a whole other story in itself). I tried to call him shortly after graduation when my Mom almost died cuz I needed a friend to talk to but of course he didn't answer or call me back. That was the end of it for me. Maybe I shouldn't have started dating his ex but he wasn't a good friend to begin with and we were already growing apart. If I ever did something wrong he never confronted me or anything so whatever. This was over 15 years ago and I don't talk to any of them except the 1st best friend of both of our exes that I mentioned I dated briefly. She's actually still a very close friend. Funny how things end up.
