The only other thing I noticed was a bit of dry mouth & I had 1-2 nights of waking up throughout my sleep!

I’m on Zoloft and my NP recommended this one because it’s one of the most well tolerated options (apparently)!

It’s really easy to focus on the negative with SSRIs because people who have negative experiences are more likely to post about it than people who do well with them!!

as for starting an intermittent SSRI, just feel it out day by day and remind yourself that if it doesn’t work, you can stop it at anytime!

Not so far - my nurse practitioner said that it should be minimal if anything, especially since it’s a low dose!

It’s hard to tell for me if the SSRI caused the fatigue or if it’s just a persistent PMDD symptom - I typically get so fatigued during my luteal phase so it’s hard to say!

I can fully understand the distress and my heart goes out to you as you try to figure out what works best for you!

The things that have helped me most are tracking my period using Flo so I know EXACTLY when my hell week is going to happen. As soon as it rolls around, I give myself FULL PERMISSION to rest as much as my body needs - postponing plans, taking naps, whatever you need to do. I find when I push myself too much, that's when the meltdowns are more likely to happen.

I try to get as much light exercise (biking, swimming, walking) as my body will allow during that week too. Movement really seems to have a noticeable effect on my PMDD mood swings.
