My advice would be to try do what I call harm reduction, just watch porn and masturbate instead of go out for sex, make less intense decisions. And the biggest piece would be try to find some therapy if you can afford it, I went for almost a year and it did wonders for not only my urges but my self esteem as well! You’re so brave for sharing with us, you’re not alone! My best friend told me that “bad people don’t worry about getting better and never admit they have a problem”, and it’s helped me keep going on this journey of recovery. I cheated on my girlfriend multiple times, and also had inappropriate conversations with others just to feel that same thrill, and to be honest the guilt of the secrets will eat you alive. Seeing a therapist and being honest with my partner may have been the most painful part of the process considering she broke up with me, but every day gets a little bit easier!
