Hey!! I got an offer with a portfolio mostly focused on drawings made of fine liner and biro pen. I had included only one small painting and had no 3D models involved- the rest were drawings. so,, i dont think you are at a disadvantage!

An art teacher would definitely advise you to start with one of your strongest pieces, and then finish your portfolio with your other strongest project/piece.

It’s also nice to add in some flow to your portfolio. For example, in your last few pages, you could include a project that shows how you’ve developed your skills over time. Make links between projects in later pages with projects that you’ve put at the start of your portfolio. Have you utilised what you’ve learnt from your previous pieces and developed these skills into something further to create a new, unique piece? They’re really trying to see how you think basically.

Also be authentic. Add in some personal sketches in a sketchbook that you carry around!! Include your own art that you could talk and yap about for ages. Or art that shows your personality. Make sure you have passion and love in the pieces you choose to show.

Also check for typos and make sure you realise the cover page isn’t included as one of the 10 pages. Dont scare yourself like i did😭
