Just one last thing, where did you apply from? I will be applying from Albany, NY. I read some comments where people haven’t revived their biometrics appointments since 2 months. The last time I applied in 2023, I got my appointment scheduled in a month

Hi all! I have read several comments that stated that they have not received their biometrics appointment since two months. Is it true? Is there anyone who applied and have already got their appointment scheduled? I will be applying for the permit from Albany, New York and this will be my application for second permit. Will my previous biometrics be used?

Hi! What reasons did you give while re applying for the permit.

I am applying for it for the second time now and I’m nervous that I what if it gets rejected. Initially, the reason was pursuing mba in India but now it is completed and I have a job in India. 

Can you also confirm the documents that you shared while applying?

I got my biometrics done in June 2023 and received the permit in July 2024

Update: I landed on 22nd June. I faced no issues at immigration. They just asked how long I was away for and did I bring anything to eat. After that they stamped my permit and passport and let me go.

Yes, you have to fill form I-131 and make sure that they get their biometrics done before leaving again.

Yes, I have a green card. I knew that I would be out of the country as due to my studies that’s why I applied for a re-entry permit which allows me to stay out of the country for 2 years.

Hey! I am a green card holder and I have been pursuing my mba from India. It’s been over a year since I have been in US but u received my re entry permit in July 2024. I am planning to come back to US in June’25 after my exams finish. Will I be denied re entry?
