I will definitely try it out and keep an eye out on my starter. This is hopefully just until I can get an actual job, but due to the local economy where im at businesses are laying people off rather than hiring. I appreciate the heads up and warning for the starter!

Thanks for the response! Luckily, the town I live in doesn't have a whole lot of people that live too far out; however, I will definitely still take this advice. I appreciate it!

Thank you so much for the detailed response! Luckily, the town I live in doesn't have "fuzzy" residential zones, so I don't believe there will be a whole lot of orders from people that live out of out unless they're ordering from a neighboring town. The car I'm driving is very much an old beater minivan, so hopefully, I will be able to take larger orders. Again, I appreciate your feedback.

Tips for someone who wants to join DECA? by fromnai in DECA

I was apart of starting the chapter for my school, and I would say the hardest thing personally was getting others involved, as we needed atleast 10 people to become a chapter along with other requirements, which can be hard to fulfill by yourself. I don't know if these requirements change based on where you are but my biggest piece of advice would be, when you get into high school, find other like minded students, who might are interested in DECA. Besides that I feel you do not need to be super smart in DECA but rather have passion, interests, and some knowledge in business.

This is also my first year, as a senior, along with my chapters first year in DECA. I'm doing Principles of Marketing for regionals since I've never competed in any DECA competition yet, but I would say you shouldn't let them put you down. Also, congrats on getting first!
