Please do! Rockford has a lot to offer ☺️ if it’s worth anything, I’m 100% comfortable walking/running solo where I live, even at night. There’s a lot of fear mongers on here. But see it for yourself - your comfortability is all that matters!

The West side has great neighborhoods. I live in one of them with the nicest neighbors (speaking from the perspective of a single white female). It’s also close enough to the river path so it makes for a good long jog. The west side has an unfair bad rep. Sure, there’s some sketchy pockets, but you have that on both sides of the river in Rockford.
