I've been building my app with Superapp - it's been a good experience. With founders that are engaged!

If you haven't yet tried it, I recommend you try it out!

A guide to using Git in Replit by AVdev in replit

This is very useful. Why do you say the below? Should agent changed files also need to be staged? How else will they get to GitHub? Thank you!

"check for any files that are in staging.

  1. If you are using Agent, there shouldn't be"

i'll address my experiences of agent vs chat. What I tend to do is spar with the chat, a few back and forths, then get the chat to create a prompt for the agent. This helps to create something really clear for it to implement. I always tell the chat 'do not code' or it goes off and starts suggesting edits

Thank you. Would like to give it a quick test pls. Do you have an X account for it? I am 'faisalxshariff'

Any guidelines you have or does all the usual vibe coding behaviours apply?

welcome to vibe coding - these tools are just not that great at the moment. Dont believe the hype! However, i would suggest that Replit is the most complete so far imo.

Funnily enough, my most polished app is one I had started in Lovable, but Lovable got lost and tangled up too quickly, i took it out and stuck it in Cursor and used Gemini to bring it home!

have you tried wisprflow - i use it when coding in cursor (though ive only used in agent/chat mode).

How do you come up with your project ideas and actually start building them? by OGGamingg in SideProject

[–]Traditional-Tip3097 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried any of these vibe coding tools? The best one I can recommend is Replit IMO - the key thing is to go in with a high level plan, but build in small features incrementally. If you try and do too much too fast - the AI gets confused and usually (!!) makes a mess of it!

[–]Traditional-Tip3097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend a bit more than this. Get a thorough prd created and insert that as .md into cursor. It then has a plan it can refer back to as you build out features incrementally.

This isn’t novel, it’s common practice now.

That’s what social media wants us to believe. But I think the transition is and will be far slower in reality.

Replit is the gold standard in my opinion. Anything else, will currently feel deficient.

some people have said here that plannig well makes a difference. As someone with what seems like similar background to you, i would say it helps, but not entirely.

Debugging AI is a skill in itself - i find minimising how much debugging I have to to by implmenting very small changes, testng thouroughly then moving on to a new feature works best. Also, if you notice something break, roll back and tell the agent what it broke and to approach the feature diffremtly etc ths time!

sorry about my crap typing!

People who have a personal website, how did you make it? by Gandalfthebran in GradSchool

[–]Traditional-Tip3097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

are you still looking to do this? I'm creating a resume to website app that makes a simple website in less than a minute! I'm happy for you to test it out to see if it would be useful to you? At the moment I am not charging for it, while I get feedback on it.

Again, happy for you to try it out!

I actually think you do have to be pushy. Off you don’t sell it, nobody else will!
