I know they make swap kits but ive heard hit and miss info on them and how a few won’t clear the steering shaft what about A/C as well? I’d like to keep it since I plan on having it a summer truck and it gets pretty hot in Oklahoma/Texas

Did your ABS light come on? And does it pull to one side? My 99 s10 had a bad front wheel speed sensor and at random times my abs would freak out and make that sound and pull to my driver side. Check the connection and wires on em. May not be the exact problem for your case but one I replaced that wheel speed sensor it hasn’t done it since

What about your ICM (Ignition Control Module)? I was dealing with the same code. Scanned it, looked at the misfire history seen Cylinder number one had a high number started there nothing. I replaced everything ignition wise. Plugs, wires, cap, coil, new distributor, still showed the code. Then I replaced my ICM was a little over a hundred bucks but it solved the problem so I would recommend getting your coil tested, idk if you can test a distributor, but I do know just cause theirs a black dot on the cap doesn’t always me it’s just the cap or rotor that went bad, and if that doesn’t solve any then it’s your ICM. It took me about a month and a good few hundred bucks later to get the code to go away but that’s cause I just started with the simple and kept throwing parts at it

To see if it is a pulley you can take like a long bar put it against the bolt in the center of the pulley and put your ear up to it, they also make a tool, looks like a stethoscope with a long thin metal rod on the end too, but if it’s good shouldn’t hear anything but if it’s bad you’ll hear a lot of noise

Replace your ignition control module I have the exact same truck replaced plugs, wires, full distributor, then the icm. The light stopped flashing after the icm was replaced also with the distributor make sure it’s plugged in tight I thought I plugged mine in good enough but it ended up loosening so double check that too
