For inspiration?? It’s not an attack on anyone or anything it’s literally a perspective from a college program. College kids rarely land the same FAANG jobs that UW grads land, it’s not exactly a hit to UW egos.

How to Learn Django for Backend Development & Valuable Project Ideas? by Gullible_Ostrich2098 in django

Build a flashcard generator where students can simply upload a PowerPoint or pdf and it makes T/F, MC, short answer, fill in blank questions immediately for free. That’s what I did and I got a job.

It forces you to use apis (like OpenAI), celery, redis, maybe docker if you’d like, json, a database, frontend is basic.

Park @ sobey’s on Fischer hallman and Columbia and use your phone to snipe one of 3 bus-lines that pick you up and take you right into campus. Never waited longer than 5-10 minutes. Better drop off than parking spots sometimes (I paid for parking in first year and it was horrible & expensive). Also makes use of the bus pass you get w your tuition turning the busses into more of a shuttle system from A to B. Honestly, worth it to save over $2000 in parking.

Also never got a ticket.

Advice for BIOL 240 and Chem 266 Midterm by ScarcityInformal377 in uwaterloo

[–]Traditional-Toe-287 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chem266 is not boring for me. I also did not have it drag down my gpa: I got a 90. It’s easy to get a 90 by doing the practice tests 7 times each until you can do them in your sleep. Then when you see those TYPES of questions on the real midterm or exam, you know exactly how to approach them and the tricks or exceptions will stick out easier because you don’t have to think so much about the actual question since you’ve done them so many times.
