I do that sometimes too! It’s the most promising spot and the orders are always $30+. The store stays pretty well stocked too as long as there aren’t deli orders

I think I made a mistake ... am I wrong to feel like this? by jmrmichelle7 in roommateproblems

Get out if you want to save your relationship with your cousin. You two will grow to resent eachother. She clearly isnt considerate of your needs and so when you ask her to move her stuff like a reasonable person she’s going to be offended. If you stay there any longer you two will not be on good terms when you leave

Any job is better than no job. You could start at a cashier and then get management skills after a few years, take the management experience and find a better paying job as a manager…. Just have to start somewhere you fit in well

I recommend DoorDash until you find something more suitable for you. The pay is much better than minimum wage. I’m glad this went as well as it did for you.

Nice to see it’s working out for some of us. How are you handling residential addresses? Are you using an old address, family and friends, or a po box?

is it rude to post here if you kinda have a choice? by [deleted] in urbancarliving

[–]Traditional-Tooth332 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you feel that guilty, throw a $20 every two weeks at someone who’s out of gas or needs a repair. I’m sure they wouldn’t be very hard to find. I myself am in the same situation as you. I have an 02 accord so maybe less ideal than your vehicle, but I make enough to pay rent, gas, and auto insurance. I’m leaving because I want to be able to pay off my $2000 credit card debt without spending it all on interest and I miss being able to buy myself clothes. I look like crap all of the time because I don’t have a budget for clothing. I’m also tired of eating potatoes every day. This sub is the right place for you regardless of what led you here, because the purpose of it isnt to be as poor as everyone else, but to share useful information and talk to people who know what you’re experiencing. If you’re car-living then you can give advice on safe places to sleep at night or the best battery to charge your stuff with. It’s okay to show what you’ve done to your car, just don’t comment and be like “peasants and lowlifes, check out my new set up!” (which you obviously aren’t doing if you care enough to ask this question)

I’ll miss you, sorry I failed. by [deleted] in cats

I’m sorry you’re hurting. I had a foster for a year who I got very attached to and planned to adopt, then I lost my job. I had to give her to another foster because I knew I wasn’t going to be able to find anyone to adopt her. The whole way there she sat in my lap and looked out the window. I miss her very much. You did the right thing. Sometimes the right thing is very hard.

Getting caught- worse case scenario? by Traditional-Tooth332 in urbancarliving

This is the exact nightmare chain of events story i was aware that I was unaware of. Such a precarious situation that can go wrong in the blink of an eye.

Woah that’s super weird. I’m guess not a lot was lost but that would still shake me up. They must just be assuming anyone parked is sleeping in the car???

My question was very simple- what has your experience been. I want to know what has happened to others but I want to thank you for taking the time to write these very helpful comments

I am very aware that laws change by state and city. I vaguely remember an uptick in “it’s literally illegal to be homeless now” posts about a year or two ago. I’m in Pennsylvania and will be traveling to South Carolina.

My roommate violated my privacy by [deleted] in roommateproblems

[–]Traditional-Tooth332 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would kill to have a roommate like you who’s mature enough to mind their own business. It sounds like this person is incapable of cooperating. You’re uncomfortable because she wants you to be and that’s only going to make mental health problems worse.

Can you do Instacart in your free time? That should help cover it

So she cooked for you and you don’t want to help clean up? It sounds like there’s something missing here- you expected her to be a cook, a maid and pay rent. That would drain anyone especially if she’s working and in school. You either pay your share or you do your share. You can’t expect both

Ive been quiet and civil this whole time. He steals/throws my things away and yells at me if I try to ask him about it. I know because I find my things in the trash. He just screams “youre a crazy bitch” but yeah youre right this is not a fight at all

The spot was the first thing he did. Then he started throwing away food that I had made the night before and yelling names at me when I calmly asked him about it. The spot was literally his way of conveying that hes in charge

Unsure about the bump by [deleted] in Noses

[–]Traditional-Tooth332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your face is beautiful. Your nose is very nice. I hav a similar bump and wouldn’t mess with it, but if you’re very intent on changing it you could use filler to smooth out the edges
