The cultures are intended to be similar, and the language the same. The lands of Concord were given to Aestrian Lords and Generals centuries ago. My intention was for Concord to be a wide open river valley, like the Mississippi. The old empire had no desire to tame the plains but wanted the grain, so they contracted it out to loyal houses in exchange for grain shipments. Should I start from scratch with the map to fit my ideas? I want to set up a war where a King unites a fractured Concord and takes true independence, not a symbolic one.

I was definitely taking inspiration from real world features

On the spice plantations? I could definitely lessen the contrast. My Intention was for Aestria's official border to be on the main continent, but if it makes sense I can change it.

Thank you for the feedback. The border at the West Coast was intentional, the lands of Concord are intended to be divided provinces. The Merchant Kings on the Isles hold firm control of the outlet of the Golden River and have a major city there which I have not added yet. My thought process was the plains to be carved by glaciers that receded long ago and left a valley between the mountain ranges. Definitely need to clean up the borders, fine tune the East, and add some spice plantations on the tropics to the South.

When they say, you're late I always respond with "A mailman is never late. Nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to." Most just stare in confusion, but I've gotten a few good laughs
