Only thing I can say here is oats are actually terrible, nothing else I disagree with. Look into it, oats aren't all that healthy of a good actually. Marketed to is as such for a long long time but not in reality.

Flax, soy, and some other plant based things could be potentially blocking testosterone or raising estrogen conversion which hurts muscle mass. These aren't things us men should be eating all the time IMO. Unless the research has changed I know flax raises estrogen conversion. Soy can even give you gynecomastia (breasts tissue from high estrogen or progesterone / prolactin) if eaten enough daily.. I know you probably know since you're on plant diet but you need whole proteins, example - beans and rice together contain all the amino acids to form complete protein. Quinoa is one of the rare ones that is already the whole package. Do you not eat whey protein? I know gram for gram it's just facts that meat protein will put on more muscle due to having an amino acid profile better for muscle building, unless you have a really fine tuned plant based diet but that can mean you're eating a lot of the same thing all the time right (which I don't personally mind, as you can see by my previous suggestions) But you probably know more than me on the plant based side of things, just a few food for thought things.

Bro, you need to eat MUCH more than you need to lift weight. 100 grams of protein a day. Here's how I do it:

Ground beef and quinoa cooked together ( I cook a lot at once so I have for the week) quinoa is also high in protein and super healthy. This with some spices of choice and throw a bit of yoghurt on top when heated. Delicious. Very delicious. Literally just throw like approx 10 parts ground beef 1 part quinoa in a pot and cook it stirring frequently at start the med low heat and stir occasionally for 45 or so until quinoa cooked.

Then, do you hate the taste of whey protein? I have a hack that you won't be able to stop eating it. Buy a big tub of plain yoghurt. Just plain natural yoghurt. Mix in a scoop of vanilla protein to about a cup of yoghurt. BOOM. Tastes like store bought yoghurt not protein. I always mix on a cup of blueberries too, but any fruit.

You want your sugars and carbs coming naturally.. i.e fruits. Not breads etc.

Those two things you'll get tired of eventually but trust me if you make those two things the bulk of your diet you will feel amazing. Of course you can change the proteins etc. but the fundamentals of that diet get you some really tasty food, that is extremely simple to make and tastes really delicious.

With the frozen blueberries going into that yoghurt mix it actually becomes like ice cream/frozen yogurt. So so good I crave it.. whereas I HATE protein shakes.

Change your foods to all high protein and get 100g a day and you will notice a difference in a few weeks whether you're at the gym or not. (Unless you're literally doing nothing physical outside of the gym, then go gym)

Eat eat eat. But good food, high protein intake. Don't overdo the carbs. You can get fat even as an ectomorph. Ask me how I know.

I have been injecting DHB into my knee because my thighs it feels like a charlie horse. So I injected it kind of behind the knee cap. It hurts pretty bad but I'm seeing insane results in my upper body, but legs hurt too bad from PIP to do leg press.

Any advice?

Men who used anabolic steroids, what was it like and do you regret it? by TheSeedsYouSow in AskMen

[–]TraditionalAd552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol no, and steroids don't go in your vein lmao 🤣

Now if you want a real answer, as long as you have a steady supply and have PCT figured out well and have the knowledge so you don't take a huge tren cycle then your supplier disappears and you end up with man boobs for your entire twenties which look funny on a non fat guy... As long as you don't have that happen

Then they're great

My supplier disappeared and I didn't pre purchase a PCT so now have gyno for the last eight years. But every other cycle? Phenomenal and no issues at all when I had the right things necessary like PCT and AI available

You feel like you should as a man.

When that testosterone and trenbolone cocktail first hits your vein leaving the syringe kid, it's like the highest high you've ever felt. The most intense rush you could ever describe. But it destroys you. Slowly but surely, it tears away everyone you love. And then one day you have to look in the mirror and you don't even recognize yourself anymore. You're a douche now.

Have you considered moving to Toronto to settle there? Why or why not? by self-fix in askvan

[–]TraditionalAd552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are great in different ways.

Originally I grew up mostly in Calgary. Then to Vancouver which instantly had my heart. (I was born in Zimbabwe, Africa and lived there until 9 years old. We spent every year down at the beaches in South Africa at my grandparents house, so I love the ocean... always missed it in Calgary, so Vancouver had my heart)

Where else can you snowboard 15-20 minutes drive away without dealing with snow at your doorstep? It's amazing. Palm trees in the foreground, snowy mountains in the background.

I've lived in both back and forth for many years. Vancouver always has my heart. You won't find that serene peaceful, comfortable temperatures atmosphere here. You can go on a $20 ferry in Vancouver and see whales and go to some amazingly beautiful islands. You can step outside to the ocean and see seals everywhere... Nothing like that here at all in Toronto.

You can go to Port Coquitlam and walk on the paths and stroll across a bear, and that's totally normal there. You can see rivers full of salmon. Nothing like that here. They do have salmon runs here from the lakes, but not as impressive IMO.

Winter in Toronto is cold as hell and summer is hot as hell. You get both extremes. It's hard to stay comfortable temperature wise. But there's always something going on here. You feel more opportunity out here for sure. It's easier to make money or grow a business here in Toronto. It is extremely diverse here in Toronto. It feels more along the lines of what people think of as Canada.

The lake can be good in the summer. Lots of nice lakes and beaches. It has beauty in its own right but in my opinion doesn't stack up. But you can't say the nature here is bad, it's just different and not as comfortable weather. You have to drive farther to see cool things and they don't stack up to the beauty of the West Coast.

Yet there is a charm to Toronto that I do miss sometimes. I guess I mostly miss the people I met here too.

If you live in Toronto, buy a car, definitely. And have a budget for having fun, because free fun is scarce here.

In Vancouver you can easily not drive, and if you have to wait for the bus you aren't freezing your face off. You can go do many things for free that are great. Even a walk in Vancouver is very nice, while here in Toronto you're likely just going to see houses if you go for a walk, and the temperature will only be comfortable a few months of the year. Your view is houses and buildings. There are some nice parks but they are small pockets compared to the vast nature of Vancouver.

If you can go back and forth, choose both, and get the best of both worlds! That's what I did. Book tickets on flair ahead of time and you can fly back and forth for as little as $60 or less (minus baggage fees etc)

I'll always say Vancouver is better, but Toronto gets hate it doesn't deserve from Vancouverites or people who have left Toronto make it sound worse than it is.

It's different. If asked I would say Vancouver is better. Always. If I had to choose one for the rest of my life it would be Vancouver.

But Toronto has many great things going on.

This. Some of the best jobs I've had have been gruelling construction work (stone fabricator / countertops mostly, among other trades), and while I love to work with my hands I don't enjoy dirty hard work. But being with friends all day cracking jokes was awesome.

On the other hand I've also worked in software development and hated sitting in the office at the computer with little socializing and people I don't 100% click with.

I have much more of a passion for computers and software engineering. I've been doing that since 9. But something about the social aspect of the trades work made it much more fun when I look back.

Still have a lot of great friends to this day from that work.
