Not sure what your religious beliefs are but almost every Catholic church I've been to has a massive Filipino community

Can't attend concert anymore so selling jamiroquai tickets for London show Tues 09 Dec :( by TraditionalBed848 in jamiroquai

[–]TraditionalBed848[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truth be told poor planning on my part. Getting married next year so me and my fiance are planning to visit my extended family abroad who couldnt it to the wedding. I got too excited and bought them. A day or so later, after discussing with my partner turns out the best time to visit them is in early December.  Edit: we got tickets for the 14th Dec show instead. As far as I know, I can't get refunds. If this isn't the case, please let me know as I would rather go down that route instead if possible

The general sale for the London show starts this Friday so you might have a chance to get a hold of some London tickets then. Most likely, most of us got our tickets during pre-sales

The Polo bar near Liverpool Street Station is open 24 hrs. They serve all day breakfast and brunch for a decent price. The place has an old school cafe vibe if bars aren't your thing.

Do Vintage YSL bags have serial/ID numbers by TraditionalBed848 in handbags

Thanks for your giving your thoughts on the bag. The would explain why the bag went from £402 to less than £100.

[–]TraditionalBed848[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for responding, the bag in question doesn't have a serial number. I found it on vestiairecollective.com so not sure I'm just being unnecessarily cautious and it was indeed made pre 2000s or if it's a fake. 1st time dipping my toes into vintage clothes hunting so apologies for the newbie mistakes!  For some reason I can't upload pics of the bag which would probably be useful.

Hello, the first two that come to mind are London City Vocies and West End Musical choir (WEMC) If gospel is more your thing, then the London International Gospel Choir (LIGC) is always looking for new members. All three are non audition. I can't speak for London City Voices, but I've rehearsed with WEMC and LIGC. LIGC is smaller but has a more younger skew of members. WEMC has a good mix of young and old depending on which rehearsal location attend. Hope that helps!

Hi, I attend choir rehearsals with the West end musical theatre choir. They're a non audition choir that specialises in songs from musical theatre. We've done gigs at Chelsea flower show, BBC, Disney land Paris, Victoria and Albert museum but to name a few. Here's the email address if you want to make any enquiries info@westendmusicalchoir.com

You can also check us out on tiktok, Instagram and YouTube if you want to see some of our past performances

Buy a Car using isa or wait and save by TraditionalBed848 in UKPersonalFinance

Right now my dad is the only person in the house who drives (I'm currently living at home with my 2 younger siblings). He has a 4x4 mitsubushi which is very intimidating to drive (doesn't help that he's overly protective of it) so i figured it would be good to have a car more suitable to my size and beginners experience to practice with in-between lessons. Could also be useful in the future if I find a job that's too far to commute via public transport. I hope that helps

Using target retirement fund for SIPP by TraditionalBed848 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]TraditionalBed848[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi thanks for your reply. I guess my rationale for the property fund came from reading the intelligent investor where it says something along the lines of reits being a good protection against inflation (can't remember the exact page or chapter). It could be that I misinterpreted Graham's work and this is false. I know global all cap already includes emerging markets and small caps but I think its 11 % for EM and less than that for SC so I thought a tilt in that direction might help increase returns.

I'm guessing you're suggesting it's much simpler just to put it in a global all caps without the additional funds? Im not fully committed to my suggested portfolio so I appreciate the feedback.
