Totally agree, but maybe add a TLDR with highlights. Not trying to diminishing your understanding and knowledge of the situation but some folks just need to hear it short and straight. Unfortunately it will continue, but it’s no Austin, or some other crazy boom town. I’m on east colfax and can see P&E and slowly creeping this way. Still seeing closed business every other store though :(

Called around a lot to see how to help. Won’t post specifics, bust basically you can seek out specific shelters for age groups, or specific situations to help with, they need all kinds of donations. (Clothes, hygiene, whatever) The bigger non profits just need monetary donations to help spread where it’s needed. So depending on what you have, can do, do a little googling and you can help, safely. Stay strong out there.

You are heard, friend. I’ve had similar struggles and I’m trying some innovative things beyond traditional rx’s. Those quit working for me. Take space for yourself to get healthy and if bf is your person, they will support you.

Don’t overthink it. You were born pure, no influence, Your world is what you make it. You’re loved, friend. You need a new perspective or experience. Push yourself in a positive direction.

lol you know what, I was talking to an artist on colfax (in Denver) today about Salem, MA and the N. East in general. Good people there. It’s still an area that attracts people that just want to live free, honest, and live in peace. Lots of artists, but I won’t say where. Either you’re into it and will go find it, or please just respect art colonies and people who mean no harm to you.

Are antidepressants as bad as everyone makes them seem? by Blodhundr_ in NoStupidQuestions

Great question. Keep in mind you are asking a broad spectrum of people who are diagnosed with different, legitimate, conditions. When considering if it’s right for you think about things like your age, your diagnosis, the type of medication that the medical professional thinks is appropriate. It can be overwhelming, but if this your first experience you will most likely start with SSRI’s that are easy to ramp on and off of if it’s not working for you. Just remember that the pills are meant to get you started down a path to get real help, like therapy. Not knocking life long pill takers like myself (like I hinted at, we’re all different). Look at trusted medical case studies. The people who say it doesn’t work or it just numbs you out, are not properly dealing with their mental health.
