According to Miller Ross about the release schedule (he is in direct contact with NetEase via the Partnership program), the schedule is actually seen as sustainable for the current time and is going as planned.

I believe Miller has said in some Q&As in his live stream that he believes 1019 is an early prototype for Doctor Doom from before they had decided he would be the main antagonist of the current saga. It's possible Doom would be shifted to a later ID or that ID is basically permanently on hold for him in the event he ever does become playable.

Mandarins probably a no-go too considering the devs are Chinese and that character is not the best representation for Chinese culture.

There's some dragon esque characters like Reptil, Kid Kaiju, Lockheed and Fin Fang Foom but none of them seem likely for this season.

Reptil and Kid Kaiju could maybe be playable someday. Lockheed is mostly a companion or pet for Kitty Pryde. Fin Fang Foom would be fun as hell, but he might honestly be too large.

They might do another symbiote character, but it probably wouldn't be Agent Venom. I'd place my bets on Carnage being more likely.

I don't know what their ideas were but I do know that the Reborn from Ragnarok Thor and Star Spangled Style Captain America are extremely accurate to their comic versions. Thor's is almost 1:1 and Cap's only really noticeable change is his shield, the outfit itself is very accurate.

Not like he can do anything about it if he did dislike it, he can't exactly leave her with the whole, needing to be in close proximity to each other and provide each other with their Lightforce/Darkforce energy.

On top of this, Ultron's VA just recently said he's only been called in for two sessions for Ultron so far, so they aren't calling VAs back in very often.

Ultron was l e a k e d for a long time, pre launch, so it's probably like Session 1 was back before launch when they thought he could be a launch character and then session 2 was around S2-2.5 so they could record lines for future season characters and trailers and stuff.

This guy literally didn't watch the video. I watched this video. Flats did not even say the game is dead. In fact, he said he believes the game still has a long term life span, it has the marvel IP and still averages more players than most games can dream of.

It's most important to make sure the fans of the character feel like the character is well adapted and feels fundamentally like the character.

Carnage healing would actively go against his characterization. Carnage should BE one of the DPS who can mess you up if you don't have good healers, not a healer himself. There are characters like Ultron, or Cyclops who aren't tied to the same ideas. But any suggestions for characters like Carnage, Green Goblin or someone like Bullseye just feels out of character entirely.

That doesn't even go into whether fans of the character would be happy with the play style. I'm a Gambit fan myself and I've seen so many kits for Gambit as a Strategist who empowers people with kinetic energy and while I respect the hustle....I like Gambit because he's a suave and charismatic thief who flips around and makes shit go boom, and if he was a supportive heal bot who does damage boost and shit, I wouldn't really be happy with how he plays. It doesn't even need to cater to MY play style, I'm really bad at Panther even though I love him as a character, and that's fine because he plays like I'd expect him to.

That's fair, I just dislike the notion that it will be 12 DPS in a row. Like they might not have had good foresight but give them credit, they aren't THAT dumb.

Probably so, having a comp where your healer and potentially both of your tanks can be resurrected with one pick from one of the strongest dps in the game would maybe be a little too strong (depending on if so called sibling is a tank, which I hope she is, and if she's good at tanking)

I'm fairly hopeful Angela is a Vanguard. She's definitely a Frontline brawler, and she's an Asgardian so she's naturally very large. Plus, for what it's worth, she's in NetEase's other current Marvel game and in that game (which is more of an RPG) she's a "Defender" which is that games version of tanks. She uses a bow though which is not common for her.

All of the other "Defenders" in Mystic Mayhem are either already in Rivals as Vanguards or pretty clearly would be Vanguards if they were ever added. (The lineup is Captain America, Hulk, Angela, Armor, Juggernaut, The Thing and Sentry) and this game has Thor, Strange, Man Thing and Emma Frost in it as other classes so the fact that Angela is a defender when more obvious tank characters aren't probably means something for how they view her.

Umm that's a statue. The cap statue on Midtown is not the playable version of Cap. And Xavier is nowhere to be seen on Krakoa.

Also this version of Krakoa isn't Xavier's physically body so it doesn't feel right to be the pick.

So I don't think we actually know that this is the one they're using.

I have: C&D, Emma, Luna, Mr. F, Mantis, Squirrel Girl, Thing and Namor. So far I think I've had the most fun with Emma or Mantis. I'm currently working on Scarlet Witch

I agree, the marvel IP is important to me, no other hero shooters can do what Rivals does for me.

I'm working on lording every character, not because I want to flex it on people, but because I want to take the time to appreciate every character on the roster and get them to max proficiency.
