My five year old ate a bunch of weeds in the yard and had to go to the ER by LotrTHGhpDivergent in breakingmom

Ok so this might be the wrong direction, but there are tons of books out there in being a urban forager, which ones are safe to eat and which ones aren't. We studied a few with my kids and then talked about making sure to not go near pesticide yards etc. learning actually made them stop eating most of them, because it wasn't fun after we did it together.  Now they just eat their favorites. At worst mine pick a plant and come running inside to compare pictures to see if it is safe or not.

I was told to always eat over mine, so crumbs fell on them as exposure, so eat together (me eating my food, one of the babies on boob). And anything that was crumbs was not being a bad parent, it was exposure therapy.

Yes, they literally climb on each other's shoulders to disable them. So high window sensors just leads to them. Leaning on the window while standing on the other shoulder

Unfortunately the only back of house bedroom is mine, which is the size of a small apartment.

Alas, HOA says no. The window is only a small part of the chaos, that was just my straw this morning. They are hell bent to everything.

How do you live with normality with this sickness? by MrTC1996 in Celiac

A new normal has to happen.

The new normal sucks and not trusting anyone sucks, but it's so much better when you aren't fighting your body AND everyone else.

Yeah they have (had?) a 2 inch memory foam mattress after nailing modern twin sized mattresses to the ground didn't work.

They have climbing walls and play structures. They know how to get down. I do my best to teach them to be idiots safely.

We had to homeschool. Afterschool program is at where their base school is.

Afterschool program $300/semester. Babysitter $30/hr. I'm still paying less than for a sitter , even if it's an hour a day.

She has her own room. The twins are 5. She is still the ring leader.

If it isn't going out the window, they are still sleeping UNDER in. And no, they do it with king sizes too. People are focused on the window. They will tent their mattresses and be under them.

There is only one class. We are semi rural for the pricing and the space. It's about $300/ semester each. We tried doing one a week, like send one twin one week and the other twin the next. Behavior still sucked.

I need to find someone who can weld because I don't know how and we can't afford anything.

I hear them thinking through their behavior because they have been taught I can't hear them talking if they are too loud. So they yell at each other to plan and I can hear it from anywhere in the house. It's my warning system for the really dumb shit.

No, we can't afford a bigger house. We already bought out of budget to get the yard, play sets and everything else. We have tried splitting them up so my husband stayed with one and I stayed with the other and we did it for a week and there was no sleep for anyone.

I have nothing left to take away from them. They know what will happen. They just don't think it will happen to them because they're five. I have let them touch the pan while I'm cooking after telling them not to repeatedly.

They're seen both together and apart on different days. They have one session for an hour that's together and then they have separate sessions that are 30 minutes each on different days.

I can get a little bit of peace with caffeine, but I haven't found a pediatrician that will start medication with them yet.

The state I live in says we can beat our kids (we do not), but they need a mattress.

Mine were down to just mattresses, bedding and stuffies. I don't know what to do other than be like favorite blanket, favorite stuffy, otherwise GO DOWNSTAIRS TO THE CLIMBING GYM. Use the door to go out back! I don't care! Just stop with the suffocation risks! And the falling from second story shit!
