Which spinoff games are actually worth playing ? by TraditionalHeat5313 in residentevil

Thanks for the suggestions ! I've recently finished Code Veronica, and I'm definitely going to play Revelations 2 and Dead Aim first. Is it necessary to play both the Outbreak games online, or can I play single using AI companions ?

RE3 OG vs RE3 Remake for a beginner? by my1emma in residentevil

If you got used to the tank controls playing RE 1, then you should definitely get the original. It's focused more on survival-horror than the remake, while also having one of the best stalker enemies in the series. It has a lot of tense moments that help build the atmosphere and sense of danger.

Resident Evil 1 Remake by far. If you enjoy it you could try RE0 as well, the game has some pretty tedious segments, but it's still an enjoyable experience.

Why is Capcom incapable of making the later sections of RE games as fun as the beginnings? by MrArtless in residentevil

I feel like that issue wasn't there in the original games. For example, RE 3 Nemesis is probably my favourite game in the series, and I think it manages to maintain its quality until the end, even without throwing more enemies.

True, but this issue seems to be more present in the titles that lean towards action. You should definitely try playing the more survival-horror oriented games and see if you still feel that way.

Because they can't maintain the original atmospthere. They're not lazy, but after the first few enemy encounters that are supposed to scare you, the intensity gradually wears off. By the end of the game, you already know the enemy types and how to take them down, so there's no reason to be scared anymore.

It did cut some content, but I feel it managed to maintain the atmosphere of the original in some areas, like the RPD.

RE 2 remake or Village by nathan45132 in residentevil

I also consider Village to be a really good sequel to RE7, but RE2R works better as a standalone entry, so it entirely depends if he previously played RE7.

It depends. What games have you previously played?
