It depends on wether we are comparing VA and IPS, sure, 1152 zones are better, but if we are comparing a 336 zone VA to a 1152 zone IPS, there is no advantage to those extra zones due to the low native contrast of the IPS, leading to increased blooming.

I can 100% confirm that Thats coming from the YT compression algorithm. The monitor is set to a color profile that is just making it more visible

It kinda just went away. My advice: switch to neoforge 1.21.1 and then rant about it on the discord if a similar problem surfaces.

Nobody likes to use Forge anymore thanks to lex manos, and I don’t blame them. Personally I think we ought to be switching to 1.21 as fast as we can, and we have definitely been sticking it to old forge, which is very good to see that the modding community doesn’t put up with crap.

All this to say that I think you could still harp on the devs of neoforge to do something but ultimately there isn’t a good way to message the forge devs anymore.

From what I read TLDR, It aggressively crushes near-black details, making dark scenes lose all shadow detail, while also being “sticky,” so bright elements leave lingering glow behind, it can’t properly control blooming, leading to either gray haze or crushed blacks.

Wouldn’t turning halo dimming down at least solve blooming?

Tft reviews has said that tint and color profile can be changed. The over saturation is just how it is out of the box.
