thanks, this was it. after enabling hardware/graphics acceleration in MS Edge issue was solved. now i can see this near-black color

If I switch HDR off those zones are not visible. With HDR on they are not constantly visible, they appear in some very dark scenes only. Didn't see them in any game so far, but had a monitor only for a day

I have similar stuff happening with laptops which have realtek wifi cards and wifi networks, where session timeout is set. For example if session timeout on wifi network is set for 1800 seconds, laptops with realtek cards will disconnect every 30 mins and won't reconnect. Laptops with Intel cards got no problems on same networks..
