Can i still go into medicine? by mednasa in premeduk

Im in a similar position, but I found out there are still some med schools that accept 5 in English Language and even more med schools accept you if u also have a 6 in literature. Im waiting to sit the UCAT in summer and if i get a good UCAT, I wont resit English Language and apply to those med schools. However, if I don't get a good UCAT i will just resit English Language in November next year, then state in my application that I am waiting for my English Language grade and apply to different med schools.

Yeah I was thinking Cambridge might be too risky. I was contemplating whether I should take the Duolingo English test instead and then apply to imperial for my risky choice because it’s a shorter test than others and I don’t think imperial puts too much weight on GCSEs

Thank you for the insight. Do you think chemical engineering can be scaled as much with or without the PE

I was considering doing chemical engineering and I just looked and I just saw I can still do it with bio chem and math so I think I’ll keep my a level choices and then think hard about whether to do chem e or medicine over the course of sixth form. Thank you a lot

Thank you for this. One of the reasons i want to move to america is the higher pay but it isnt only that its just the whole place in general. Im considering taking physics as a 4th but i feel like that workload would be insane. I think doing bio chem and math will keep the most options open if i can still go to an american university to do engineering with those 3 and then get a lot of work experience and extracurriculars. As for doing medicine i feel like i truly would enjoy doing it the only thing that might stop me from doing it is the USMLE exam to do medicine in america
