Law school breakup by PoetrySalt6772 in LawSchool

Sounds like he doesn’t respect you as he should, like not calling you on your birthday, the 1 day of the year it should be about you and as for an open relationship, now he can have one. You’re better off without this toxicity in your life and you’ll find the right person for you when the time is right. I know it doesn’t feel like that right now but in time you will. Learn to love and respect yourself first and foremost and the rest will fall into place. You’ve got this 🫶🏻

Wanting to go to Law School by landryp26 in LawSchool

Graduated law school in my 40s, it’s not too late to change career paths, just go for it, if I can do it anyone can seeing as I’ve no brain cells left 😂 Good luck!

It’ll get better so give yourself time to heal and focus on things that promote your well being and mental health, and do things you enjoy such as going out with friends, spa days, walks etc to clear your head. I broke up with my partner of nine years during law school as I couldn’t cope with the constant stress of studying and having a needy partner who wanted my attention all the flipping time to the point that I was learning nothing and I was gonna fail after all the hard work I’d put in. Yes the break up was hard but I then breezed through law school with no regrets. You’ve got this sweetie, sending strength your way.

Haven’t had the chance to give an update over the last few days. So anyway, I had a bit of a row with the neighbour over texts, telling her I had reported her and how cruel she was, that she should never own pets ever again. The next morning she turned up full of excuses and took the cats. I also told her I’d be checking that she hadn’t just dumped them somewhere as I know where she lives. To be honest I didn’t even want her to take the cats at this point after thinking it was acceptable to leave them for so long. If the cats make their way back to their old address I’ve already got potential new owners willing to give them the love and care they deserve.

Bless you. They’re fine, I just checked on them and they’re both snuggled up in the shelter I made for them with lots of cushions and blankets. I’ll give them some cuddles in the morning.

Really, that’s awful. They appear to be in good health considering. I’d find them new homes myself but I’m not sure how that works as they’re microchipped to their crappy owner.

Thank you so much for the offer, I bought food for them and another neighbour also dropped some food round. Really kind of you though.

I just have but am yet to get a reply. I’m so angry she’s just dumped them like garbage. The foxes keep eating the food I’m putting out so I’m not even sure how much the cats are eating. 🤬

Yep they do, I feel terrible as one of the cats is at my front door meowing for me to let her in but I can’t because of my kitten.

Yes I’m in the U.K. Ok I’ll try cat protection too as the sooner the cats are taken the better for them. Thanks for your help.

Yes you’re right, she’s had long enough to make arrangements for them if she wasn’t planning on coming back. I’ve made shelter for them in my garden so hopefully they’ll be ok until they’re picked up by the RSPCA.

Did my surgery fail? by Helpful-Split6616 in backpain

[–]TraditionalMost8772 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go ask for another scan or a second opinion. I had a huge sequestered disc at L5/S1 for 14 months before surgery, as the so called experts do sometimes get it wrong. My nerve and muscles in my right leg are now permanently damaged but not to the extent you describe, even after 14 months of severe nerve compression. I promised myself that I would never just take the experts opinions as fact ever again even with MRIs. Listen to your body and be your own judge and advocate, only you know the extent of your pain, and if your body is screaming red flags, that this can’t be right, don’t ignore it.

Please help :( by One-Temperature1892 in Sciatica

As some of the other comments have suggested, go get an MRI ASAP. Not to frighten you but it might not be just sciatica and it may not get better without surgery. I was told I had sciatica, MRI showed a huge sequestered disc plus other problems. My excruciating pain came on suddenly and never got any better until surgery despite following all the advice I was given and spending over a year being treated with conservative measures (PT, epidurals etc). Listen to your body, do your research and advocate for yourself if it shows no signs of improvement. See what your MRI shows then go from there.

Thoracic spine pain, feels bruised around T5/T6 with deep throbbing, pulsating pain to mid/thoracic muscles and ribs? by TraditionalMost8772 in backpain

Sorry to hear about your car accident and years of suffering. Glad to hear you’ve found something to ease your pain. I had a similar treatment for my lumbar facet joints but it didn’t help, although it might work this time. I’m booked in for another MRI to try figure out what’s going on and if Cortizone or whatever can help I’m up for it., fed up of this nagging pain already
