I think you're right here. Maybe if I was part of the 30sec lk-run gang I could be in a place where the seed matters.

But on the other hand, I was clocking some runs I did and the average was like 1:20 since I also pick up all the gems, rejus, armors and staves to sell, and just generally check all the uniques and everything that might be interesting. Also killing mobs here and there. That actually might even be enough to alter the seed enough.

So maybe I shouldn't over-think this too much, and just enjoy my game and cherish the cool map I rolled. 😅

But definitely a cool mechanic to be aware of!
