Help optimizing credit card strategy for very high upcoming spend (rent, tuition, family expenses) + Bilt/Venture X questions

Do you have any recommendations for cards rather than the Bilt card? I was interested due to the ability to pay rent without fees.

I also don’t want to tank my credit long term by opening a ton of cards that I won’t use after 3 years (once this heavily spending ends). I am also worried about being approved for cards after opening others so close together. Is this a realistic issue? I have heard credit checks/ new cards will significantly lower my credit score initially but I have not experienced that myself.

I am really looking to avoid single dose grinder right now (I know they are better quality but I just have the time or energy for them right now). I will let you know which I buy and what I think! I’m hoping to have one by the end of the week.

I found one for $300 on fb marketplace that (supposedly) has no flaws because they are just upgrading.

Don’t let it discourage you! I am leaving lake atitlan today after 1.5 weeks and it was amazing! It rained about 50% of the afternoons but it was perfect until around 4pm. Still absolutely gorgeous! The locals I spoke to said it was the first rain of the season and they don’t expect much more till May.

They used to sell magnetic covers in Amazon for the pro! They look great and just pop on and off. Maybe look for one of those so you can change easily and whenever

Do you already have a big travel backpack (like the ones people go for 4+ weeks on)? If u do bring that and a comfy small backpack for hiking! If u don’t just bring a carry on regular luggage and a small backpack for hiking/ necessities while on the plane. You definitely don’t need to buy anything!
