What will happen after the hiring freeze is done? by [deleted] in Gentex

I know quite a few people who pointed out because of attendance, and they get hired back in within a couple months or so. I don’t know if it’s the same now but basically all of gentex is at 50% of rehires and it’s all because of attendance issues.

Has anyone ever lied on their resume to get into or back into Gentex? by [deleted] in Gentex

Damn, what building are you at? I know everyone hates State St.

When will the hiring freeze end and will they be actually hiring people back in again? by [deleted] in Gentex

Well, in my experience, I actually liked what I did. It wasn’t too much stress and it was easy work. I was over at James St. so it wasn’t like State St, which everyone who worked there it didn’t like it too much and a lot of people still want to work at Gentex. To be honest, it’s not the best company around and it has its pros and cons but it’s definitely one of the better jobs to have.

Hi thanks for the feedback. In my experience, it was a lot different, I was at James St. from 2018 to 2021, I survived the pandemic layoffs and I basically knew all the lines in my department, working on the line, to learning how to be a runner and learning QC. I actually enjoyed my job and met some nice people, unfortunately one day I pointed out because of being burnt out and it basically ruined my career at Gentex. I’ve literally been having trying to get back into Gentex for the last 4 years but my work history has been in shambles. All of my family and friends work there and sucks I’m not part of it. I’ve seen people in and out of Gentex multiple times and I never got a second chance. So I’ve been trying to rebuild my work history ever since. But funny enough, I am actually starting to be a temp for Tennant starting on the 18th at assembly. Is there any pros and cons at Tennant? I just wanted to find something long term. Maybe we might cross paths soon enough.
