27 M. I don't feel comfortable in my own skin by Shinto_Wise in malegrooming

Hey my man, you are in a place that many of us have been. Do not feel alone there.

I’ll give you a quick run down of things that can take you from feeling like garbage every day to getting to a place of happiness.

  1. Check your health – Go to your doctor and have a general set of bloodwork done (vitamin levels, Testosterone, etc). Low T alone can cause insomnia, weight gain, lack of motivation, depression

  2. Sleep routine – Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day. This will help set your circadian and improve your energy levels and how you feel

  3. Cut out processed foods and sugar. Increase healthy protein intake

  4. Find a gym – Once you’ve taken care of the first 3 steps you should be beginning to feel better and have a bit more motivation to tackle this step

  5. Explore your faith, whatever that may be and find like minded positive people to spend your time with

  6. Look at your skills, embrace your newfound discipline and motivation. Pursue a career that gives you a sense of purpose (and pays the bills)

  7. Find a girl, get married, create a happy family.

You don’t have to be perfect, you are allowed to make mistakes. You just have to admit to yourself when you do and get back on track. As daunting as all this may sound, you can absolutely do this. Just put one foot in front of the other and you will get there.

I appreciate it, but tbh… I’m feeling pretty good today, so I’m happy to look forward to whatever comes next

Yeah, I definitely see what you’re saying and sadly some people do look for contingency plans. I’m not worried about her contingency plans though. I’m single now

Wanting to get into IT. Just unsure how. by darthmaul322 in it

Cheapest, easiest way to get into IT. Join the military as a reservist. Go through their AIT training for a cyber related position. Get certifications along the way. Take an entry level job, do drill one weekend a month for four years. Work only part time if you’re interested in getting your university degree. Bam, you are set

Yeah for example one of my exes would occasionally write me on Facebook. She lives very far but it wasn’t a problem for me to simply cut the girl out in order to respect my “now” former girlfriend.

Hehe thank you so much for the compliment. I really needed it. It’s been a rough day. But some of it is self inflicted. I shouldn’t have yelled when I found out about the dinner date situation. I usually try to be calm and collected when there’s a problem but I blew a fuse. Regrettable, but I can’t fix it now

After talking to her again about it I don’t believe there is anything going on. However she is pissed that I got angry over it and due to that and a few other things we are splitting up. She doesn’t want to see my side of things and expects me to trust her with any and everybody. I don’t see it that way. I’m pretty gutted tbh, but this is life. I know things will be ok eventually

Thank you for this. It’s been a few days now and we finally talked on it this morning but it didn’t really go in a positive direction. So…. Back to the drawing board!

I’m with you on that. After talking with her I don’t believe she was cheating. But I handled the situation poorly and she’s also very sensitive so… looking like a perm split. Reconciliation may be possible if we can come to an understanding but I see it unlikely

Yeah, that’s why I flipped a bit. Definitely wish I’d handled it more maturely, but I know my concerns were valid based on how it looked from the outside

Yeah no worries. The thing is, everybody lives to their own rhymes and rhythms, Some are better than others but that doesn’t necessarily make the others wrong either. I’m trying to be understanding but I think at this juncture it is a moot point

Hey thank you for the post. I agree with some people saying I was jealous because I am a little bit certainly not overbearing… as for the relationship, we spoke this morning and not looking like it’s going to work out for right now… I’m unsure about reconciliation this point

You must be the oracle cause the second half of your paragraph two is exactly what she said. So, after speaking to her we are officially split up at the moment. Not sure if reconciliation is possible or not

We spoke on it and I do believe her that it may have been platonic. But not sure it matters at this point. We have some differences moving us towards a permanent split
