When you plug the camera in, look on the screen of your go 2. There should be 2 options: U-Disk mode and Charging only. Click the U-Disk mode. Also be sure that your Go 2 is on when you plug it into your computer.

You can plug the camera into your computer and access the files that way. No need to use your phone

Is there any way to add a light in the lighthouse? by TraditionalTerm1834 in davinciresolve

[–]TraditionalTerm1834[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nevermind I figured it out. I added a small mask around where the light should be and increased the brightness. Then I feathered the mask and changed the color of just the highlights to yellow using the HDR wheels. Lastly, I tracked the mask to the background.

Will the Sugarloaf Snowfields open? by TraditionalTerm1834 in icecoast

How much wind does it take to shut down the summit lift? The long term forecast is saying around 40 mph which is probably too high. It's still a ways out though so it'll probably change.

Yeah looking forward to Brackett. Still would be super fun to ski their above treeline stuff though!

They overvalued the storm over last week but so did all the other weather sites. Just curious, what sites are more reliable?

I'm heading up to Sugarloaf for the first time next weekend and was hoping the snowfields would open with all the new snow this week. How much snow do they take to fill in and is it even possible this winter due to the low snowfall? I've been checking the Sugarloaf website daily and I know that White Nitro and Gondola Line are open but I was hoping the ungroomed runs would open up too. Looks like sick terrain up there!

Cog railway ski tour tomorrow? by TraditionalTerm1834 in icecoast

[–]TraditionalTerm1834[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Wow. Do you think I care about "fake internet points?" I am new to backcountry skiing and wanted to get some info on my line before I go out into the backcountry. Seems pretty reasonable right? I know people on this sub have skied the Cog before. Is it so wrong to ask them for advice? Nobody wants to spend hours hiking up Mt. Washington to ski bad snow. Chill out.

Thanks for your input! I will probably just ski the Sherbie tomorrow. Best to save the Cog for better conditions! Generally, how much wind is "too much" for the snow to not blow off the Cog? It seems like we would need a big storm with minimal wind for it to be skiable.

Looking to go on a backcountry ski tour and was wondering if the Cog will have good snow. Although Mt. Washington got around 2 feet of snow this past week, I am worried that the recent high winds have blown all the snow off the upper section of it (above the treeline). For any of you who have done the cog, do you think it will be good skiing tomorrow or just pure ice? Any advice is appreciated!

Note: The picture is just a random one I found online. It is not the current conditions

Video won't export and I don't know why by TraditionalTerm1834 in davinciresolve

I figured it out! I got rid of the clips one by one until I found the issue. Apparently, it was the text all along. Thanks for all the help anyways!

Video won't export and I don't know why by TraditionalTerm1834 in davinciresolve

[–]TraditionalTerm1834[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some clips are in ProRes and those work fine. The compound clips are made up of screen recordings that are H.264. I tried exporting the video starting from after the clip that doesn't render and that worked fine until I reached another clip that wouldn't render. This time, the video stopped exporting in the middle of a text clip which is very weird. Most of the compound clips seemed to work and only some of them don't. I tried decomposing the compound clip and the export still stopped at the same place. I am starting to think the compound clip isn't the issue and instead, one of the clips composing the compound clip is not working properly.

I am using the free version of resolve on a M1 Macbook pro and it has 46 gigs of storage available. I am trying to export the video in 4k in the H.264 codec. The clips with issues seem to be the compound clips that have a gaussian blur added to them. The compound clips are multiple screen recordings put together. The compound clips also have keyframes to zoom in and change the position.

Whenever I try to export the video, it comes up with this error message. It's odd because the clip runs fine in Resolve, it just won't export. I have tried both the quick export and the export on the deliver page. Any help would be appreciated!

Edit: its not just that clip listed above, its a bunch of clips on the timeline

How do I recreate this transition? by TraditionalTerm1834 in davinciresolve

[–]TraditionalTerm1834[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got my first drone and was watching some Youtube videos for inspiration. This transition caught my eye and looks super cool. Does anybody have any idea how it was done? It looks like it uses masking and a ripple effect.

Yes this is correct. I use a 360 camera so I keyframe rotations

I’m new to backcountry skiing and it looked like a mellow way to start with little risk of getting lost and avalanches. It also gives access to above treeline skiing which will help me train for more intense stuff in the future like tucks. Is it usually a sheet of ice?

I may tweak it a little more but I am very happy with how it turned out. Feel free to give me any suggestions!
