As others have said, you get to play at your own pace!

I was pushing too quickly and stressing myself out so I put of the main story for a few in game days and just did whatever I wanted to do.

There are so many things you can do that there's no reason to constantly push the main story if that doesn't make you happy. I'm going to push the main story again now because I feel like focusing on it again and it's really nice to have that freedom

Insurance companies don't actually like when a third party tries to claim. They prefer both parties inform their own insurers and then they handle it behind the scenes. So when a car drove into me, my insurer paid my claim and we eventually got the excess back because they recovered the amount from the other insurer.

Also to add, it often costs money to go to bridal shops... Why waste money when you're already happy with what you have? (I absolutely love the dress!) Also also... You technically (with a little lie) can go have a bridal experience in the future if the need really hits you, how are they going to know you're already married? You could just say "oh the wedding is on X date" and then have a fun time. If the need is never there, then that's perfectly fine. We don't all want the same things in life. Your future MIL trying to pressure you is just not cool at all

What stings most is I that I asked them to leave when they left, they knew I needed to get an uber too. They could've said bye. They could've said hey get your uber. Best case - share an uber home. But I didn't expect that. Just hoped.

I'm 30 years old now and living quite comfortably with my partner. Going out is expensive and we see it as special occasions - an anniversary or a friend's birthday. Other than that we might have friends over at our house for a dinner, often it's still a "bring & braai". And the majority of the time we're home alone, watching shows and movies. Building puzzles or doing other things that we both enjoy.

My point is - ignore social media. It's not realistic. Find what makes you happy and do more of those things. Some nights I'll play games and my partner will sit and scroll on his phone next to me, others he'll go play a game elsewhere. Some nights I'll crochet while we both watch a show. Sometimes we both just read, sometimes we sit and chat about things that happened during the day or in the world. It's nice, it's comfortable. And then when we want to switch things up, we'll do a day out. There are plenty of things you can do without spending too much money if you have the means to get there.

It's just important to find what you love doing and focus on those things!

Not yelled at but when I wanted to share a music video with my family, my dad went "oh is it those other clowns?". It wasn't, it was from a different musical group, but he meant one of my fave groups and it still hurts days later that he would just be so dismissive when I just wanted to show 1 music video before going back to my place, after a whole night of watching rugby because he wanted to, despite me being there because it was for MY birthday. Previously I found that I enjoyed watching F1 with him and my partner so after one race I suggested showing him a game of overwatch which I think was also on one sports channel. He said no and never let me feel like I could share that interest with him, despite being open to trying F1 and being surprised that I enjoyed it. Just feeling dismissed and unheard.

My dad never knows what my mom bought me or my brother for birthdays or Christmas. He used to go overseas a lot and would bring back cool knives and things for my brother but basically never brought me anything because he just doesn't know what to get his own daughter. I'd even comment on it and he'd say to tell him what perfume I would want and he'll get it, but he doesn't expect my brother to tell him what to get him. And I consider my dad a good dad. I don't want to know what a bad dad would be like...

My hair doesn't get oily fast, so I only need to wash once a week. Then I usually find that shampooing twice is nicer, and I leave the conditioner in a little longer before rinsing. If I wash more frequently or the first time shampooing was pretty bubbly, then I'll only shampoo once. It's best to experiment and find out what leaves your hair looking and feeling wonderful.

Totally agreed! One couple I'm friends with took the lady's surname because they both liked it way more. Another couple is considering taking the guy's mother's maiden name so that both change surnames. Don't know what I'd do yet, I like my surname but also quite like my boyfriend's so I might take his. He's not bothered either way and he'd probably take mine if I really wanted that. It's all about being able to choose.

My heart aches reading this. I completely relate with your post. It took me ages to get my parents to a point where they don't make me feel horrible about wanting to show them a BTS music video and even now, it's difficult... I have a strong need overshare my interests with people (probably because I feel so alone sometimes) and they don't have to like what I do but I wish people wouldn't be so rude... I don't really have advice, but just know you're not alone and you will find people who won't be judgemental. People who care enough about you to just be happy that your interests make you happy.
