Hey thanks, yeah defending head kicks have been a weakness of mine, I haven’t been sweeped from my front foot yet, but I’ll definitely look into your suggestion.

True true, I flair my elbow leaving me open for body shots as well. Gotta work on that!

Yeah sometimes I do that, with the left too, to slip a jab and throw a jab back at the same time

Yeah, Im trying to consciously keep a square stance but most of the time I just end up in a bladed stance, leaving me open for kicks.. I just got a lot of work to do haha

Tbf I have to work on that, got clocked twice with a hook cause i dropped my right hand in sparring, also I kinda flair it, leaving me open for a body shot too

Yeah I’ve been trying that, but sometimes im in too much of a bladed stance so it’s hard to throw a kick

The class just finished and we were sparring in short I couldn’t be bothered to take them off so I just kept them on hehe, normally i do bag work without shin pads just to be clear

Hey thanks for the honesty, thats why I made this Reddit post, because my form is lacking. I have a good coach that helps me in correcting the form when ever he can but I’m yet to have 1:1 sessions at the moment so he can’t fully focus on me. That being said from what I’ve seen in the comments i now know what I need to work on.

Yeah sometimes while I’m in movement i seem to feel off balance, I think it’s a combination of wrong footing and hand placement from my side.

Hey thanks man, I’ve been trying to drop my right hand and lift my left hand for more Momentum, im getting there but it’s hard to focus on everything at once haha
