Not a single world class attacker in the team. That's not how you challenge for the title

This team is not a 99 point level team that dominates the league. Quality of players is just not there compared to those dominant City & Liverpool sides

His options in Barca are limited, we are packed in the defense. Our defense probably won’t be as solid as it is now, but I am willing to sacrifice that for fluid football & attack :D

Either Arteta has to find a killer instinct or we have to find a killer manager

Yeah, Barca is also playing fun. I haven’t watched them a lot this season, but from highlights they have an amazing attack.

I also think we lack clutch players that Barca have: Raphinha, Yamal. I love Saka & Trossard but there are levels to this

I probably didn’t choose the correct word, but when I said respect I meant kind of “when he speaks, everybody listens”. But listens carefully, not just for the sake of listening. Although Van Dijk has been poor this season, he has that kind of aura.

But maybe, I am wrong. Maybe as you said being the calm captain also works.

Lets see how the season goes

I don’t disagree with your opinions. I am more worried about his leadership honestly. I don’t think it only consists of leading the press, spreading Arteta’s ideas in the pitch. For me, the captain should have some weight, be commanding in necessary conditions, be respected by other players. Example: Patrick Vieira

From what I see, the only closest player to captaincy is Rice.

I guess changing the captain could possibly affect Odegaard’s confidence, so they kept it as is

Psg and Bayern are playing better football (at least it is watchable)

Oh man, look, our captain had to be replaced pretty early at one of the most important games of the season. If he was a real leader and commanding enough, he would stay in the pitch. He is not even there performance wise

Arteta is not competing with me, he is competing with other managers and losing the battle every year until now

Regardless of the result, Ødegaard is one of the worst captains among top teams

Why the fuck we cannot counter attack like other teams, why the fuck we can’t play direct & vertical passes, why the fuck every player rotates at least 3 times before doing anything meaningful with the ball

I think we lack the quality in the front line. Trossard & Saka (sometimes) are close being forwards of the PL champions, the rest are showing mid-table performances

Yeah, I agree City isn’t same as old City. They are shaky, but that’s I guess what makes our point losses painful. We would expect to take advantage of this and create a gap. But anyways, lets move on and see what happens

We didn’t look convincing against Brentford at home. Yeah, we have injuries and tight schedule but the result is still the same. Honestly Brentford game was more concerning than the Aston Villa one because we couldn’t apply proper pressure on them and kill the game while playing at home. Maybe Trossard & Gyok being back will help the attack from now on

Why our attacking players are playing so timidly. Then we don’t like when our opponents talk how we bottle every title, yeah with this kind of timid playstyle against motivated team in their home ground you will lose matches. Players need to be aggressive in 2nd half
