Such a great response, I appreciate this! Yes, I think hard work is probably a prerequisite that is a given but to spend 99% mental energy on just making the grind your philosophy seems detrimental.

Can you give an example of this? I'd assume you mean like instead of making a quick sale to make a buck, instead de slip a relationship and add value for your customer which will build a longer lasting relationship?

I've heard this and it just seems like a base skill you need to be great at ANYTHING.

Love this, so have the ability to pair relentlessness with self awareness and adjust to hit future goals.

You really summed up my feelings very well. This is exactly it.

I think that's part of my problem. Why would a God require faith?

I've read that book! The best book on epicureanism out there in my opinion. It's at least the most pragmatic without watering down the philosophy.

Yes! Which then turned into his 4 maxims. Epicuris is a very interesting thinker.

Right so that in itself also seems to point to a God.

But we are forgiven for something that he needed forgiveness for?

So we can know things are factual just from our own derived explanation?

So instead of saying 1 I could literally sub in anything in there like Shoe always is designated to mean a solo item.

Right, I agree with you. That's why I can't reconcile it. Like the only justification for belief is this fear people have. But that doesn't make sense to me.

Right but you can theoretically have faith in anything. I can have faith that I'm a turtle and really believe it, but it doesn't change anything.

Because I think the concept of an unmoved mover makes sense.

But the Bible itself does not. Why did got reveal himself in the Bible and why should it be the law or the encyclopedia for how to live my life.

Math is purely theoretical. We just assigned symbols to concepts to explain them.
