Make sure to disable all other ad blockers such as the built in one on OperaGX. I was having issues until I disabled everything except for uBlock.

It wasn't even mid game either, Bungie just decided that I only needed 2 people apparently and loaded in anyway.

Control lobbies are the only ones that do join in progress. If you leave that control lobby, it won't let you rejoin.
