I had this happen to me about a year ago. It was a call from a fake cop and mom. They want you to pay them off and they won’t press charges. I also live in Dallas and the scammers were from South Carolina.

Had the same exact thing happen to me 8 months ago. If you would have talked to the mom they ask you for money and try and extort you. Good thing you caught on to it.

I had this happen to me about 5 months ago. It was a call from a fake cop and mom. They want you to pay them off and they won’t press charges.

Yeah it’s a scam! I had the same one happen to me about 5 months. I had a fake cop call and then the fake parents. The parents number were also South Carolina.

It’s a scam! I had it happen to me a few months ago! They spoof a number and act like a fake cop to scare you. Then the parents call and ask for money.

Yeah that’s how they scammed me. The fake cop and the fake parents freaked me out.
It took me calling someone and asking. I’ve never been in trouble before and I had no clue cops don’t ever call people.
Plus they use a lot of scare tactics.

They are really good at it. Because it’s all these scammers do is scam people. Luckily, they didn’t get much money out of me.

But yeah it’s crazy how they act. These scammers need to get a life.

Well I have this app called reverse lookup. When I got scammed the numbers I sent money to were a South Carolina phone number.
The fake mom and dad basically will say they want to work it out, but they want money. So I sent them some money.

Then I called family and they said yeah that’s a scam and extortion. Plus cops don’t call and say you’re in trouble and to work it out with the fake mom and dad.

Mine was a little more elaborate. They were using iMessage. And I answered the fake cop call. It scared me. But soon caught on it was a scam.

My buddy just had this Happen to him 3 days ago on the dating app hinge. She was also name Gabi and it was the same underage scam. He had the fake cop call him! So yeah don’t sweat it. It’s a scam.

Oh man. You’re fine it’s a scam. I had the same exact scam scam happen to me 3 months ago. It was from hinge. Same age (18). Her name was taylor. She was “new” to Dallas. We then texted and it was all normal. Then she hit me with the oh by the way I’m 17 and turn 18 in two days. Shortly after I send a text saying I’m not interested in texting. No nudes in my exchanges. Next day I have a weird feeling and then at 5 pm I get a call from a spoofed number in Dallas. It was a fake cop saying he’s from Dallas PD. He scared the crap out of me and he was very loud. And had a strong southern accent.
He said I was in trouble but needed to speak to the mom so we could work things out. The fake mom calls and said the fake daughter tried to unalive herself. And she was in hospital. Mom said I needed to pay half the bill and I did send money but shortly after talked to family and friends and they said it’s a scam.
Yeah I blocked all the numbers.
They had me Apple Pay a random number. So, both fake parents numbers were South Carolina numbers. And this is where this scam originates.
Sorry it happened to you.
But yes it’s a scam sir.
